Summer Ready-Holiday Bikini's

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I thought I would show you the bikini's I have bought and one that was sent to me for my holiday.
Image from Google and then I've edited it.

This polka dot bikini is from Matalan's and it's £5 for the top and £5 for the bottoms, I couldn't find the bottoms so I just looked for orange or blue bottoms to go with it and found these orange ones to go with them and it's summery colours, it's a bandeau bikini so you can wear it with or without the strap.

This bikini was sent to me by Sports Direct, here's a link to there Ladies Swimwear and they have a huge sale on at the minute, I decided on this purple bikini because it's my favourite colour and I like these type of bikini's and same as the last one it's a bandeau so you can wear it with straps or not. This bikini is by Goldigga, the top was £5.00 and bottoms £5.99 here's a link to the bikini if you want the same one.

This bikini is also from Matalan's and was £5 for the top and £5 for the bottoms, luckily there was both the top and bottoms. This is also a bandeau like the rest just so you can wear it with or without the straps, these type of bikini's are easier when your on holiday to not get tan lines from the straps. I like that is multi coloured and very vibrant so it will be nice for summer.

I think there's a sale on in Matalan's so you will be able to get bikini's for cheaper.

All of the bikini's are a reasonable price and really nice for summer.

Hope you liked this post and I've not done this type of post before.

Benefit World Famous Neutrals Review

Hey Lovelies, I won this Benefit World Famous Neutrals in a giveaway by the lovely Sally from Rainy Day Faces a while ago but I'm only just getting round to reviewing it, she has a great blog you should go check it out.

I have the Eyenessa's easiest nudes ever, there was two other neutral palette's but I'm not sure if you can get them anymore you could try looking online.

The palette comes with two cream eyeshadows that you can use a base and four eyeshadows to apply over the top.

Even though it is a nude palette, it's perfect for both daytime and nighttime, it also comes with a mirror so it's easy for on the go, you have everything you need to create a nice eye look.

The two cream eyeshadows are R.S.V.P and No Pressure, R.S.V.P is a pinky, goldy champagne colour and No Pressure is a bronzey brown colour, they are both shimmery/metallic finish. They are really nice bases and help the eyeshadow to stay on longer and for the eyeshadow to stay vibrant.

Here's a swatch of both:
There both gorgeous shades.

The four eyeshadows, Call My Buff is a champagney/cream eyeshadow perfect for a highlight under the brow bone and it is matte, Thanks A Latte is the only shimmery/metallic shade and it's a bronzey shade, Pinky Swear is obviously a light matte pink and the last shade is Quick, Look Busy this is a dark matte brown shade.

Here's swatches of them:
There really nice shades but as you can tell the pink is not very pigmented compared to the rest of the eyeshadows.

I really like all the names of the cream eyeshadows and the eyeshadows.

I think the packaging is very cute and it's different to normal packaging and really stands out.

The palette's are £23.50 and I'm not sure if you can still get them but if you can I highly recommend you buying it, it's such a nice palette with everything you need for your eyes.

If you want me to do a tutorial using the palette let me know.

Have any of you tried the palette, what do you think to it?

Last Year I Was... Tag

Hey Lovelies, today I decided to do a tag post I haven't done one in a while and the lovely Hannah from Beginners Beauty, made up this tag and it's a really interesting tag.

What was the best thing that happened to you last year? And what was the best thing that happened to you this year?

Last year wasn't the best year, I failed my A Levels and started my Health and Social Care course so I was really nervous about starting and making new friends but it did turn out alright in the end, the best thing I would say was going on holiday to Greece and starting my blog, I love blogging and don't know what I would do without it. This year has been quite a good year, it has had it's up and downs like anything in life. The best things that have happened are going to see One Direction in concert with my friends, going to my first meet up and lush event and meeting lots of lovely bloggers even though I was so nervous about going.

What was you fashion sense like last year? What was your fashion sense like this year?

My fashion sense hasn't really changed that much, I'm a quite casual person in the daytime and like to wear jeans or leggings and tops and in summer I love wearing dresses and I always like to dress up when I go out at night, this year is still the same but I have a few more outfits that are not as casual for daytime. I'm a really picky person when it comes to what I like to wear.

What was your makeup style like last year? What was your makeup style like this year?

My makeup style hasn't really changed that much I always like to wear different makeup looks but it's nothing too much for daytime and I like to wear more dramatic looks for night outs. I didn't do my eyebrows for part of last year I thought at the time I didn't need to but you really do need to.

What was your hair like last year? What was your hair like this year?

My hair hasn't changed that much it's longer but that's about it, It's been the same style for last couple of years, I just have a side fringe and layers, I want to do something different with my hair but I'm not sure what and I don't want to have short hair, I like having long hair.

What were your ambitions like last year? What are your ambitions this year?

My ambitions last year were to do well in my A-Levels which didn't turn out the way I wanted but I do believe everything happens for a reason and even though I did fail, I had options. My ambitions for this year is to do well in my Health and Social Care course, my first year has gone really well and I hope when I finish the course I will have achieved good grades. I also just want to see my blog and YouTube grow, I'm extremely grateful for all of you that follow and read my blog and you who  have subscribed and watched my videos.

You will always have lows and highs in life and you just have to get on with it.

I thought I would add a picture from last year and a picture from this year.

If you see I haven't changed that much in a year.

I tag you all to do it and send me your links when you do it, would love to see your answers.

July Favourites

Hey Lovelies, I was going to film my July Favourites but I haven't had much time and after going to the orthodontist on Tuesday my teeth have been killing me so I decided to not to do the video, but I still wanted to share with you my favourites of the month so here they are.

Beauty Favourites
The Maybelline New York Quad in Glamour Browns, in summer I love wearing gold shades and this a great palette to create a goldy brown eye, all the shades are very pigmented and long lasting, they are all shimmery shades so if you don't like shimmer I wouldn't recommend it.
The Avon Kajalstick in Deep Turquoise, in summer I love wearing bright colour eyeliner especially blue/turquoise shades they really bring out my blue eyes and I just wear it on the waterline and this eyeliner is really pigmented and long lasting.

The Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige, this a gold shimmery metallic shade and works really well with the Maybelline Quad, I mostly apply to my eyes as a base and then apply eyeshadow over the top and it helps it last all day, you can also apply it to your inner corner or just wear it on it's own as well so it's a really multi purpose product.
Here's swatches of the Avon Eyeliner and Rimmel Eyeshadow Stick, there both gorgeous shades.
Revlon's Photo Ready Cream Blush in Pinched, is a corally orange shade perfect for summer and very wearable for most skin tones, I love wearing cream blushes in summer, it's pigmented and long lasting.

NYC Sunny Bronzer, it's the perfect bronzer shade for me not too muddy or orange, it's matte so I can contour with it as well, it's pigmented and last really well on the cheeks.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter, it's a pinky shimmery highlighter that I absouletly love I've been wearing it nearly everyday and it's my all time favourite highlighter, it gives your cheeks a nice glow and it's long lasting.

Natural Collection Cream Blush in Rosy Pink, this another cream blush, I like both orange and pink shade blush but I know some people prefer oranges and some people prefer pink and I like to wear both but this another nice cream blush, it's pigmented and really cheap but it's not as long lasting as the Revlon Cream Blush.
The L'oreal Paris Caresse Lipstick in Tempting Lilac, these are very similar to the Revlon Lip Butters and I have both and there both very nice, the Caresse Lipsticks are more pigmented but not as mosturising as the Lip Butters, Tempting Lilac is a pinky purple shade that is quite glossy and I've fallen back in love with it, I haven't worn it ages and saw it in my collection and decided to start wearing it again, there pigmented and mosturising but not as long lasting as a lipstick.
Beauty UK Lipstick in Naughty, this is a corally red shade and I love it, I've been wearing it a lot even though it's not the most summery of lipsticks, Beauty UK Lipsticks are always really nice there very pigmented and moisturising, it is a quite bright shade and because it is moisturising you have to be careful when you apply it because it can smudge.

Here's swatches of them both.
If you've been watching my YouTube video's I've mentioned quite a few of these products.

Non-Beauty Favourites
Music-One Directions-Best Song Ever is such a catchy song and the video is hilarious, Selena Gomez- Come and Get It, Avril Lavigne-Here's To Never Growing Up and Pink-True Love.

TV Programmes- Pretty Little Liars I mentioned it in my last favourites but Pretty Little Liars is my favourite TV programme it's so mysterious and you never know what will happen next and all the cast are gorgeous, Big Brother all the people in the house are so different and I like the arguments and knowing more about them.

Food- It has to be Ice Cream and Ice Lollies I love warmer weather and just eating Ice Cream and Lollies some of my favourites are Cornetto's, Zzapp, Magnum's.

Clothes- First time I've mentioned clothes in a favourites but in summer I love wearing dresses and shorts.

What are your favourites of the month leave a comment and let me know.

MUA Blush Review

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a great day, here's a review of the MUA blushes, I know I'm a bit late and they have been out for quite a while but I thought I would still review them for you.

I think MUA is a great brand, all there products are really cheap and good quality for the price.

I bought two blushes Lolly and Bon Bon, there is four other shades Marshmallow, Bubblegum, Cupcake and Candyfloss.

There all £1 which is such an amazing price because the blushes are pigmented, long lasting and good quality.

I think these blushes are a lot better quality and less chalky than the old £1 blushes.
I like the change MUA has made to the packaging they look a lot more sleek and MUA have now put names on the blushes which makes it better and I think the names are really cute and there all sweet inspired names.

There is a variety of shades so there is a colour to suit everyone and they have matte and shimmery shades.

They are really easy to apply and blend.
Bon Bon is a medium bright matte pink, it has really good colour pay off and would be great on darker skin tones but it still looks nice on pale skin tones like mine.

Lolly is a peachy orange shade with slight shimmer and is perfect for summer, I love wearing orangey corally shades in summer, this a nice easy blush to wear with any makeup looks.

Have any of you tried the MUA blushes, what do you think to them?

Beauty UK Review

Hey Lovelies, sorry I've hardly posted this week, I've just been busy and haven't had much time to blog but hopefully this will make up for it, here's a review on some Beauty UK products.

Just before I start I did get sent these products but these are my honest opinions.

I've had these for quite a while but it took me longer because I wanted to try out all the products equally and for a long enough time.

I will start off with the palettes, the first palette has eyeliner and eyeshadows this called Amazon and is palette number 2, both the eyeshadows and eyeliners are pigmented the eyeliners aren't as pigmented though, the brown eyeliner is a lot more pigmented and easy to use its just the black that is hard to use. The eyeshadows are both metallic and matte, really pigmented and long lasting. These are more everyday eyeshadows you can wear to create golden brown looks.

The second palette is Twilight and is palette number 5, this the same really the eyeshadows are both matte and shimmery, they are long lasting and pigmented. I'm not a huge blue eyeshadow wearer but I do like using it as eyeliner especially in summer it just brightens up your eyes. In this palette there's greys and blues so you can create a smokey eye with them.

I like that in both palette's it has a small mirror at the bottom you can use.

I have used there palette's for a while and really recommend them, both these palette's are £3.99 so really cheap.

Here's some swatches:

Next is a baked blush, I'm not sure what this shade is it doesn't say, these blushes are really similar to the Accessorize baked blushes. I love baked blushes they are very summery they are pigmented and shimmery and give a nice glow to the cheeks so you don't need to use a highlighter. This shade is a medium pink so I don't know if it will show up are darker skin tones but there is a few  other colours in the range to suit everyone. It is such a lovely shade and I like wearing it. These blushes are £3.99 and are a bit cheaper than the Accessorize blushes and are just as good.

Here is a swatch:

Here's there eyebrow pencil, this is the shade grey, it is took dark for my eyebrows it's a really dark brown almost black but when I tested it out it is pigmented and long lasting, so if you have darker brows this would suit you. There really inexpensive and are only £1.99.

There liquid eyeliner, it's not the blackest of the black eyeliner's I've tried and it was really watery so it was hard to use and it's easy to smudge it you have to be really carefully, so I didn't like the eyeliner. This was no7 eyeliner. There liquid eyeliner is £2.49

Swatch here of the eyebrow pencil and liquid eyeliner:

Next up is there lipsticks and I've had a couple of there lipsticks before and there great, there all very pigmented, moisturising and long lasting.
The first lipstick on the left is snob this is a pinky purple shade which is great for everyday wear it's not too bright and it gives you some colour so this would be great for beginners who are just starting out in makeup but want to wear colour but nothing thats too much and this would suit everyone.

The middle lipstick is naughty and this is a corally red this is perfect for summer and I've been wearing it a lot. This would be a nice shade if you don't want to wear a full on red lip. I don't have a shade like this in my collection and I love it. The only down side is you have to be careful when you apply because it is moisturising and a brighter shade it is easy to smudge.

The last lipstick on the right is vampire, this a dark berry red shade and is nice for night outs, this is a shade that will suit  everyone. You also have to be careful with this shade when you apply because it is moisturising it is easy to smudge.

I really like the names of the lipstick and the packaging.

All there lipsticks are £3.49 and I really recommend them and I love wearing them.

Here's swatches:

Next is there lip lusts, I think there lip lusts are between a lipgloss and a lip lacquer, there a bit more pigmented, thicker and long lasting than a lipgloss but not as pigmented and long lasting as a lip lacquer. They are really soft and creamy on the lips. There is quite a few shades some shimmery and some not.

I think these are great if you want colour but don't want to wear a lipstick.

The first one is moulin rouge and is a red with pink and gold shimmer, you can wear it on it's own or with a lipstick.

The second is playboy and this is my favourite its a medium pink and doesn't have any shimmer in and I've been wearing it the most.

The third shade is st tropez and is a golden pinky brown shade with shimmer in and this is a great shade for summer.

The bottom shade is diamond and this is just clear so I wear it over a lipstick.

I think all the shades will suit everyone and are a great lip product.

I really like the names of the lip lusts too.

There all £2.99 so really inexpensive.

Here's some swatches:
You can buy Beauty Uk from Superdrug or online at Beauty UK.

Sorry for such a long post but hope you enjoyed it.

Just Be You

Hey Lovelies, here's a personal post for you I haven't done one in ages and thought you would like to read this.

Image from Google.

I think everyone in their life at sometime is trying to figure out who they are and where they belong.

Over the last year I've figured out who I was and I learnt not to be ashamed of who I am and to do what I want without a fear of what people will think of me.

When I was at school I felt ashamed of myself I was being bullied for who I was and I thought that I needed change to be someone else so people would accept me and that I would fit in. From my experience I learnt that only true people  will accept you for who you are and won't change you and will believe in you and you don't need to listen to what anyone else thinks just be you.

Always be yourself and don't try to mould into what you think other people want to see, it's better to be unique than everyone being an identical copy of each other. If you do want to change who you are, do it for you and not anyone else.

Everyone is individual and unique and that is why you can often be picked on or bullied for it but you should just stand up to people like that and say this is who I am and I'm not going to change for anyone, people could bully you just because they like the qualities you have and who you are and sometimes it's just to get a reaction out of you, you should just  try to ignore them.

You will always have people who don't like you but you don't need to worry about it, the only people that do like you and love you for who you, are the people that matter.

We all have flaws and imperfections that you might want to change but these also make us who we are and even if people point them out they are a part of you, you can change them but you can also learn to live with them.

I know that trying to figure out who you are when your younger can be difficult and scary but know that your not alone and everyone goes through it and always be true to yourself.

All I really wanted to say is just be you, it's okay to be different, just do what you want and don't let people change you.

I hoped you enjoyed the post and if you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here for you, you can email me at acmakeuplover@gmail.com or tweet me @ashleighcarrxx

Nars Douceur Blush

Hey Lovelies, hope your all alright, here's a review of Nars Douceur I know there's quite a lot of reviews on Nars blushers but I've not heard much about Douceur but it is a great shade.

I had wanted a Nars blush for ages I've heard so many great reviews about Nars blushes, I have a few dupes of Nars Orgasm in my collection and I know it's a popular shade but I wanted to try a different shade.

Douceur is a pinky brown shade, I wear it just on my cheeks but you could use it to contour and it's very natural, it's a matte shade and very pigmented and long lasting.

It's a great formulation, it's soft and silky and easy to apply and blend.

When I apply it to my cheeks it gives more definition to my cheeks and acts as a blusher and a contour.

It's a nice shade for pale to medium skin tones, I  don't think it would show up on darker skin tones.

Nars packaging is very sleek but it does get dirty easily.

Here's a swatch of Douceur.

Overall I'm so happy I decided to get a Nars blush, they are the best blusher I have bought but they are quite expensive at £21.50 but they are worth it they have a range of colours and finishes and there all pigmented and long lasting.

What do you think to Nars blushers?

Lush Blogger Event

Hey Lovelies, on Friday 28th June I went to the Lush Blogger Event in Sheffield, I met some bloggers that I already knew and a few new bloggers, they were all really lovely and I love meeting new bloggers.

All the staff were really nice and informative on all their products and they were all very passionate about Lush.

It was set up into 3 sections, the Emotional Brilliance which was all about the makeup, you can use the product on your eyes, lips and cheeks so its a really useful multi purpose product. Then they put dry ice and span the wheel and you pick three colours that stand out to you and they are to do with your emotions and there all positive. When trying them out there all very pigmented and long lasting. In a little goody bag I got the blue In Charge and it will make a really nice eyeliner. Rochelle was really lovely and was doing makeovers on people.

The other section was a massage bar, they talked about all the different bars and scrubs they have and what they have in them and what it's best for. They used a bar and then washed it off and then massaged your arm and hand, it was really nice and therapeutic.

The last section I went to was the making of the Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser, it was really simple and easy to make and it only took about 10 minutes. We then got the fresh made cleanser, I haven't tried it yet but I will soon and it smells really nice.

They talked a bit about the Lush face masks as well and what works well for skin types and spots, I bought the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask, it has blueberries in it.

They had live music throughout the event and the band was amazing.

It was a really great event and I loved talking to the other bloggers and the staff they were all amazing.

I'm so glad they did this event in Sheffield, I live in Sheffield and there isn't many events here.

Do you have any favourite Lush products?
