Nars Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a good day, today I've got a review on Nars Kalahari duo, I got this a while ago from the lovely Alessia and I'm only just getting round to reviewing it.
I've not had many Nars products, I only own a blush and this eyeshadow duo but I've always heard so many good things about Nars and I was so excited to try this when I got it.

These are both neutral shades and I think you can never have enough neutral shades, there my go too and what I wear the most and with these eyeshadows you can create an everyday neutral look. There is a bronzy shade and a taupe brown shade, which look absolutely gorgeous with my blue eyes.

The eyeshadows are such good quality, they are really pigmented and creamy and you can build up the colour to the intensity you want. They are both metallic finishes, so if you prefer matte this duo isn't for you. They last really well on my eyes and with primer they last even longer. You can wear the colours together or use one with other shades and it will still look gorgeous.

Nars packaging is always really nice, its sleek but it can get dirty easily, I love the mirror that comes inside and it's great for when your on the go.

The duo is a little pricey at £25 but if you want to splurge then this is definitely worth the money.

Overall this is a beautiful duo that you can wear to create an everyday look that has good pigmentation and is good quality, it has become a firm favourite of mine and I love using it.

What are your favourite Nars eyeshadows?

What I Would Tell My Younger Self

Hey Lovelies, sorry for the lack of posts again I'll try to get back track on with my blogging. Today I thought I would do a bit of a personal type of post of what I would tell my younger self.
Cue the old embarrassing pictures of myself. I don't think I look too different to now actually but anyway onto the post.
  • The main point I would say to my younger self is not to change myself for anyone, when I was in school I wanted to fit and tried to change to fit in with others and all you ever need to be is yourself so people can like you for you.
  • Not to care of what others think about me, not everyone will like you and when I was younger I wanted to please everyone and make them like me. The truth is not everyone will like you and the people that do like you are all that matters.
  • I should have stood up for myself, when I was younger I let people walk all over me and when I got bullied I just let them do it and never said anything. I would say that you shouldn't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself and stand up for yourself, you are a strong person and don't deserve to be treated badly.
  • I'm still insecure and self conscious but not as bad as I was when I was younger, when I was younger I was so shy, unconfident and self conscious and didn't think very highly of myself. All I would say is that you can be confident and you will gain it and you just have to trust and believe in yourself.
  • Don't be scared to take chances and do things you wouldn't usually do, as I've got older I've done things I wouldn't have usually done and they have been such good experiences. When I was younger I didn't take chances and I should have done it more.
  • Not everything will turn out the way you want but everything happens for a reason and there is always the good in situations. Don't worry if something turns out unexpected just go with it.
  • We all make mistakes and have regrets but it is okay, we can't all be perfect and you will learn from them, so don't feel bad for what you've done or let others make you feel bad about it.
  • You don't need to have a boyfriend like everyone else, when I was younger most of the time I was single and I thought I needed to have a boyfriend too and you don't need to have a boyfriend just because everyone else has. You just need yourself and friends and when the time comes you will meet the right person that will be your boyfriend.
  • Always try your best that is all you can do, your not always going to be good at everything but just try your best and that will be good enough.
  • Don't be afraid to voice your opinion and say what you think, when I was younger I was so shy and hardly spoke because I thought what I had to say didn't matter and people wouldn't care. Just say what you want to say and people that care about you will listen.
  • Lastly just be happy and do what you want to do and not what everyone else is doing.
What advice would you give to your younger self?

Small Beauty Haul!

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. Today I've got a bit of a haul, I haven't bought anything in ages and this is what I got over the last month or two and it isn't too much.
I have a local Factory Shop which sells things for quite cheap so I got these Maybelline Eyeshadows for £1 and the Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms for £2 and the W7 eyeliner for £1.99, this is just a black eyeliner for everyday use and all of these products are such good value for money.

The Maybelline eyeshadows are in Chocolate Chic which is just a matte medium brown, I've had this brown before in different packaging but it has been a favourite of mine for ages so I thought I would repurchase and Blazing Brown which is a gorgeous golden brown shade.

The Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms are in All You Need is Pink which is a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink, perfect for Summer and Viva Violet a pinky purple shade.

I bought the Collection Colour Lash Mascara, this is just a clear mascara for my eyebrows because I was running out of mine and I wanted to try a new clear mascara to set my brows and it was only £1.99.

I've got the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo, this is the bronzer and highlighter and I've heard so many good things about the Bourjois bronzer and I love highlighters too so I thought I would buy the duo and I'm excited to try it. The bronzer is a right shade for my skintone too and is only £7.99.

Last up is the NYC Eyeliner Liquide, I bought this eyeliner first and I just wanted a black eyeliner and I didn't realise it was pearlised black but I've found it's still a good eyeliner and so that's why I bought the W7 eyeliner. I can't remember the exact price but I think it was only a couple of pounds, not that expensive.

Have you bought anything recently, would love to know.

Day Trip to The Deep in Hull

Hey Lovelies, sorry for the lack of posts I've just been quite busy with college work and other things. Anyway here's a lifestyle type post of a trip I went on last week, to The Deep in Hull with my lovely boyfriend.
If you live near Hull or just want to go on a day trip somewhere, I would highly recommend it. It's such a great place to go it has such much amazing sea life, you can go as a family with children, friends or with boyfriends and girlfriends it's a nice place to go with anyone. There's something for everyone and so much to see there is thousands of different type of marine life to see.

I've always liked animals and sea life so I had such a fun time looking at all these amazing fish, sharks, penguins, starfish, jellyfish and other animals in the tanks. It has interactive parts and play areas for children to keep them entertained too. I would definitely visit it again.

It's not expensive either it is cheaper to book online, so if your wanting a trip that isn't too expensive and to have fun, The Deep is the perfect place to go.

What are some of your favourite places to go on a day trip to?

Perfect Lipsticks for Spring

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, today I've got some of my favourite lipsticks for Spring for you.
First up is Collection Cream Puffs in Fairy Cakes and Cotton Candy, you can see I like them having two of them for my favourites, they are just so creamy and moisturising on the lips but have good colour pay off. Fairy Cakes is a coral orange shade and Cotton Candy is a lovely pink shade. They are really inexpensive as well.

MAC Chatterbox has been a favourite of mine for years, it was my first ever MAC lipstick it's such a gorgeous Spring pink that I love wearing. I always say you can never go wrong with a MAC lipstick there always pigmented, long lasting and feel nice on the lips.

Catrice Pinkadilly Circus is a bright coral pink, that isn't as long lasting as these other lipsticks but it's so moisturising and feels amazing on the lips and is really pigmented until it wears off.

MUA Shade 7 is a lovely coral shade, it's been a favourite of mine for quite sometime and it was the first coral shade I bought because I think only certain coral/orange shades suit me and I'm more of pink lipstick girl. It lasts quite a while and is pigmented but it isn't as moisturising as these other lipsticks but at £1 you can't go wrong.

Next up is the Revlon Colourburst in Fuchsia, I mentioned this in my monthly favourites too because it's such a great lipstick, it's a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink, that is so pigmented and long lasting and feels really nice on the lips and it makes your teeth look whiter which is a good bonus.

Lastly is the Bourjois Color Boost in Peach on the Beach, this is one of the lipsticks that you can't not mention for Spring, it's a peachy pink shade that is so stunning and is just a statement of mine for Spring. It's so moisturising on the lips but has good pigmentation and lasts quite a while.

What are your perfect lipsticks for Spring?

Expectations...

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. Today I thought I would change it up a bit and do a more personal post than doing mostly beauty.
I think we all have these expectations of what we want to happen in life but things don't always turn out the way you expect but you just need to go with how it turns out.

When I was younger I thought quite often that I wasn't living up to the expectations of my family. If your feeling like that you just have to remember you have to do what makes you happy and more often than not your family will be alright about that. You need to remember that you can't live up to everyones expectations and you just need to be yourself and do what you want to do.

The way it can make you feel if your not living up to people's expectation is completely unhappy and you feel like your failing and you lose your self esteem and confidence, you have to do what makes you happy and not for anyone else and you aren't failing at all, your doing whats best for you.

We all have our own expectations that we want to live up to but you need to make sure you don't put too much pressure on yourself because it can make yourself feel worse if you don't achieve them. We all have goals and you can achieve them but try not to put pressure on yourself and take each day as it comes.

Expectations aren't always a bad thing just remember that everything might not turn out how you expect but it's still alright if it doesn't. Expectations can help you stay motivated to achieve what you want.

I hope this posts helps any of you and I think we all have some sort of expectations we want to live up to. What are your expectations?

Beauty Favourites
Starting off with eyes, the Makeup Revolution Palette in Iconic 3, every since buying it which was quite a while ago it has become a firm favourite of mine. I love the pigmentation and the quality of they eyeshadows and the colours are just beautiful, you can create both daytime and night time looks that are natural or smokey. For only £4 you can't go wrong and it's a dupe for the Naked 3. Next is the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette, I've had this for ages and I digged it out of my collection and started using it again, I use the pink and brown shades and not really the greens and you can create a natural everyday spring look, the eyeshadows are really pigmented and a great formulation. I haven't been wearing liquid eyeliner as much and this Bare Minerals Lasting Line in Forever Brandy is a lovely brown shade, it's more natural and looks really nice with my blue eyes.
For blushes it's been NYC West Side Wine it's a lovely pale pink that really suits my skin tone and looks natural and it's matte. Ever since getting MAC's Soft and Gentle it has been my favourite highlighter of all time, it just gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks and I've been wearing it most days, it's definitely worth the money. The Catrice blush in Love and Peach is a gorgeous orange peach shade that is perfect for Spring and Summer, it's really pigmented and lasts really well on the cheeks.
Then for lipsticks I've been wearing, Bourjois Color Boost in Peach on the Beach, it's a peachy pink shade that is such a stunning colour and perfect for Spring, I love these lip pencils because they are really moisturising but still pigmented. Revlon Colourburst in Fuchsia is a gorgeous pink fuchsia shade, that I absolutely love it's really pigmented and lasts really well. Last up is the Kate Moss Lipstick in 08, this is a pinky brown shade that is a good everyday shade that looks great with any look.

Non-Beauty Favourites
Music- Kelly Clarkson-Heartbeat Song, I just love Kelly Clarkson's music and have been a big fan of her from the beginning, Maroon 5-Sugar I love this song and the video is great, James Bay-Hold Back The River another amazing song I love.

TV Shows- The Flash is such a good show, I've been hooked from the beginning and you should definitely check it out, Grey's Anatomy I love this show but was so gutted when they killed off a main character, I won't put who it was in case someone hasn't seen it. Catfish is another great show.

Film- Insurgent such a great film and I watched it in 3D that made it so much better, it was really action packed and I liked the twist they had on the book.

The Blush Addict Tag

Hey Lovelies, I've been super busy recently and not feeling the best, so sorry for the lack of posts and I'm going to try my best to post regularly again.
The lovely Heather from Porcelain Beauty, tagged me to do this post and she has an amazing blog so definitely go check it out.

1. What colour blush suits you the most?
For me I think pale pinks suit me best but I do like orange and coral blushes too as well as more vibrant shades but because I have a pale complexion, pale pinks work best with my skin.

2. Pressed/cream/loose blush?
It has to be pressed blush they are my favourite by far, I always find them really pigmented and what I use the most but I do like using cream blushes in Spring and Summer they just make your skin look more dewy and fresh.

3. Favourite shimmery blush?
That's a hard choice but I think I will have to go with Sleek's Rose Gold it's such a gorgeous shade and really brightens up your cheeks. All Sleek blushes are really pigmented and long lasting that's what I like most about them.

4. Favourite matte blush?
That's another hard one I would have to say Nars Douceur it's such a lovely everyday shade that goes with any look and gives definition to your cheeks. For a cheaper option I would say Sleek's Suede this is also an everyday sort of shade that goes with every makeup look.

5. Favourite cream blush?
My favourite cream blush I would have to say is the Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 Rose Tender it's a gorgeous pearly pink shade that looks amazing on the skin and isn't too much.

6. Favourite drugstore blush?
Another hard one I have quite a few favourites but I would have to say NYC West Side Wine it's a lovely pale pink that I can easily wear or Makeup Revolution blushes they are so pigmented and last really well on the cheeks.

7. Favourite high end blush?
My Favourite high end blush would have to be MAC's Well Dressed it's a gorgeous pale pink with shimmer that isn't really noticeable and looks great on lighter skin tones.

8. Favourite bright blush?
I don't have too many bright blushes, I prefer more subtle blushes but if I had  to pick I would probably say Catrice's Love and Peach it's a bright orangey peach shade that is really pigmented.

9. Biggest blush disappointment/regret?
I don't have any disappointments or regrets with the blushes I have, I always research before buying a product to make sure I will like it and isn't a waste of money.

10. Best blush packaging?
I don't own any but I think the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush packaging looks absolutely stunning and sophisticated and I definitely want to try out some of their blushes. From the packaging I do have I would say MAC or Nars it's simple and sleek.

11. What's on your blush wish list?
Like I mentioned it would have to be Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes or more Nars Blushes I only have one and definitely want more.

12. Number 1 holy grail blush?
A hard one to choose but I would have to say Nars Douceur it's a lovely everyday shade that can go with any look I wear and give my cheeks definition and Nars blushes are really pigmented and last really well on the cheeks.

I don't know who hasn't done this tag yet but if you haven't go for it and leave a link so I can read. I tag Alessia, Chelsea and Sophia and anyone else who wants to do it.

Sleek Rose Gold Blush

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice bank holiday, I've got a new post for you on Sleek's Rose Gold Blush*.
I've wanted this blush for ages, I've heard so many good things about this blush and it being a dupe of Nars Orgasm blush and I've had it ages but I've only just got round to reviewing it.

First off just look at this swatch it's absolutely gorgeous, I've been wearing it most days and I love the glow it gives to my cheeks and it's perfect for Spring and Summer.

Like in the name rose gold the blush is a pink coral shade with gold shimmer, that gives your cheeks a nice glow and really brightens up your skin.

I've always liked Sleek packaging it's compact and I like that they have mirrors in their eyeshadow palettes and blushes, it makes it easy to throw in your bag when your on the go.

Sleek blushes have been a favourite of mine for years and they never disappoint, they are a great formulation always pigmented, easy to blend and long lasting and good value for money.

Sleek have lots of different shades and only cost £4.49 you really can't go wrong and would highly recommend picking up some of their blushes.

What are your favourite Sleek blushes?

Quick Update and Bare Minerals Lasting Line Long Wearing Eyeliner in Forever Brandy

Hey Lovelies, hope your all doing well and having a nice day. If you've noticed I haven't blogged for a few weeks, I've had a lot going on and not been in the best place, so I needed time before I came back and being in the right mind set to blog I think is important because I always want to do good posts for you all. On to the post I'm talking about the Bare Minerals Lasting Line Long Wearing Eyeliner in Forever Brandy.
I've had this eyeliner for ages but I only started using it over the last few months and it has become a firm favourite of mine.

This eyeliner is in Forever Brandy it's a gorgeous matte brown shade, I've always been a black eyeliner sort of person on my lid but since using this I've been loving wearing brown eyeliner, it's a lot more natural and subtle. It also really brings out my blue eyes.

The eyeliner is really pigmented and long lasting, I often find with pencil type eyeliners they don't last very well but this eyeliner lasts a really long time on the lid. I've just been wearing it on the lid but you can wear it on the waterline too.

It's really easy to apply to the lid but I do find it harder to blend out. The packaging is really sleek and it has a little smudger on the end to help blend out the eyeliner if you want it more subtle.

If your on the lookout for a new eyeliner, you should definitely give this one a go and it's only £14 as it's really pigmented and long lasting.

What is your favourite eyeliner?
