Makeup Revolution Review

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, sorry for not posting over the last month I've just been busy. Today I've got a post on Makeup Revolution products*, I've had these for ages from when I and two other bloggers held a meet up last year and I just forgot that I had these pictures so I decided to do it today.
I love Makeup Revolution and already have some of their products and when I got these makeup bits I was so excited to try them.

First up the Give Them Nightmares Eyeshadow Palette, all these shades are really dark and smokey so perfect for a night out and when you want to wear a dark and bold makeup look. All the eyeshadows are super pigmented and creamy and really long lasting. I think they are all really unique shades and I really like them all. There is both matte and shimmery, metallic shades. It's a really nice palette.

Next up the Atomic Shade Lipsticks, I have the shades Atomic Ruby which is the red shade and Make It Right the purple shade. These lipsticks are quite pigmented and really moisturising on the lips, they aren't the most long lasting lipstick but at £1 you can't go wrong. I prefer Atomic Ruby just because it is a gorgeous red that I've worn more than Make It Right but they are both good shades.

Last up Focus and Fix Eye Primer, I don't have many eye primers but they are definitely worth investing in and this is a brilliant eye primer. This is the original primer and it's a natural base. It has a thin consistency and is easy to apply and it makes my eye makeup last for a few hours longer.

All the packaging is simple and sturdy, I love the huge mirror you get in the eyeshadow palette it makes it so much easier when your on the go and need to apply your makeup.

Makeup Revolution products are good value for money and I'm always looking out to try more of their products.

Chester Zoo

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day and doing well. Today I've got a post on Chester Zoo I went just over a week ago with my boyfriend and it was such a good day out.
This is a perfect day trip to take your children or going with friends and partners. There is so many different animals to see and something for everyone. It will take a few hours to walk around and see everything, me and boyfriend were there for nearly 4 hours and we saw everything, so get there in enough time to explore.

There is so many animals from elephants, giraffes, penguins, fish, meerkats, monkeys, rhinos, zebras, deer, tigers, lions, cheetahs, donkeys, camels, bears, birds, bats, tortoises and alligators, the list just goes on, the zoo has so many amazing animals to see.

If your wanting to go on a day out, definitely go to Chester Zoo, it's just over £20 for adults to visit which I think is a good price for getting to see all the animals. I would definitely go again on a trip to Chester Zoo it was so much fun and very enjoyable.

Where's your favourite trip you've been on? Who else loves going to zoo's and seeing animals?

Nars Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a good day, today I've got a review on Nars Kalahari duo, I got this a while ago from the lovely Alessia and I'm only just getting round to reviewing it.
I've not had many Nars products, I only own a blush and this eyeshadow duo but I've always heard so many good things about Nars and I was so excited to try this when I got it.

These are both neutral shades and I think you can never have enough neutral shades, there my go too and what I wear the most and with these eyeshadows you can create an everyday neutral look. There is a bronzy shade and a taupe brown shade, which look absolutely gorgeous with my blue eyes.

The eyeshadows are such good quality, they are really pigmented and creamy and you can build up the colour to the intensity you want. They are both metallic finishes, so if you prefer matte this duo isn't for you. They last really well on my eyes and with primer they last even longer. You can wear the colours together or use one with other shades and it will still look gorgeous.

Nars packaging is always really nice, its sleek but it can get dirty easily, I love the mirror that comes inside and it's great for when your on the go.

The duo is a little pricey at £25 but if you want to splurge then this is definitely worth the money.

Overall this is a beautiful duo that you can wear to create an everyday look that has good pigmentation and is good quality, it has become a firm favourite of mine and I love using it.

What are your favourite Nars eyeshadows?

What I Would Tell My Younger Self

Hey Lovelies, sorry for the lack of posts again I'll try to get back track on with my blogging. Today I thought I would do a bit of a personal type of post of what I would tell my younger self.
Cue the old embarrassing pictures of myself. I don't think I look too different to now actually but anyway onto the post.
  • The main point I would say to my younger self is not to change myself for anyone, when I was in school I wanted to fit and tried to change to fit in with others and all you ever need to be is yourself so people can like you for you.
  • Not to care of what others think about me, not everyone will like you and when I was younger I wanted to please everyone and make them like me. The truth is not everyone will like you and the people that do like you are all that matters.
  • I should have stood up for myself, when I was younger I let people walk all over me and when I got bullied I just let them do it and never said anything. I would say that you shouldn't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself and stand up for yourself, you are a strong person and don't deserve to be treated badly.
  • I'm still insecure and self conscious but not as bad as I was when I was younger, when I was younger I was so shy, unconfident and self conscious and didn't think very highly of myself. All I would say is that you can be confident and you will gain it and you just have to trust and believe in yourself.
  • Don't be scared to take chances and do things you wouldn't usually do, as I've got older I've done things I wouldn't have usually done and they have been such good experiences. When I was younger I didn't take chances and I should have done it more.
  • Not everything will turn out the way you want but everything happens for a reason and there is always the good in situations. Don't worry if something turns out unexpected just go with it.
  • We all make mistakes and have regrets but it is okay, we can't all be perfect and you will learn from them, so don't feel bad for what you've done or let others make you feel bad about it.
  • You don't need to have a boyfriend like everyone else, when I was younger most of the time I was single and I thought I needed to have a boyfriend too and you don't need to have a boyfriend just because everyone else has. You just need yourself and friends and when the time comes you will meet the right person that will be your boyfriend.
  • Always try your best that is all you can do, your not always going to be good at everything but just try your best and that will be good enough.
  • Don't be afraid to voice your opinion and say what you think, when I was younger I was so shy and hardly spoke because I thought what I had to say didn't matter and people wouldn't care. Just say what you want to say and people that care about you will listen.
  • Lastly just be happy and do what you want to do and not what everyone else is doing.
What advice would you give to your younger self?

Small Beauty Haul!

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. Today I've got a bit of a haul, I haven't bought anything in ages and this is what I got over the last month or two and it isn't too much.
I have a local Factory Shop which sells things for quite cheap so I got these Maybelline Eyeshadows for £1 and the Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms for £2 and the W7 eyeliner for £1.99, this is just a black eyeliner for everyday use and all of these products are such good value for money.

The Maybelline eyeshadows are in Chocolate Chic which is just a matte medium brown, I've had this brown before in different packaging but it has been a favourite of mine for ages so I thought I would repurchase and Blazing Brown which is a gorgeous golden brown shade.

The Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms are in All You Need is Pink which is a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink, perfect for Summer and Viva Violet a pinky purple shade.

I bought the Collection Colour Lash Mascara, this is just a clear mascara for my eyebrows because I was running out of mine and I wanted to try a new clear mascara to set my brows and it was only £1.99.

I've got the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo, this is the bronzer and highlighter and I've heard so many good things about the Bourjois bronzer and I love highlighters too so I thought I would buy the duo and I'm excited to try it. The bronzer is a right shade for my skintone too and is only £7.99.

Last up is the NYC Eyeliner Liquide, I bought this eyeliner first and I just wanted a black eyeliner and I didn't realise it was pearlised black but I've found it's still a good eyeliner and so that's why I bought the W7 eyeliner. I can't remember the exact price but I think it was only a couple of pounds, not that expensive.

Have you bought anything recently, would love to know.

Day Trip to The Deep in Hull

Hey Lovelies, sorry for the lack of posts I've just been quite busy with college work and other things. Anyway here's a lifestyle type post of a trip I went on last week, to The Deep in Hull with my lovely boyfriend.
If you live near Hull or just want to go on a day trip somewhere, I would highly recommend it. It's such a great place to go it has such much amazing sea life, you can go as a family with children, friends or with boyfriends and girlfriends it's a nice place to go with anyone. There's something for everyone and so much to see there is thousands of different type of marine life to see.

I've always liked animals and sea life so I had such a fun time looking at all these amazing fish, sharks, penguins, starfish, jellyfish and other animals in the tanks. It has interactive parts and play areas for children to keep them entertained too. I would definitely visit it again.

It's not expensive either it is cheaper to book online, so if your wanting a trip that isn't too expensive and to have fun, The Deep is the perfect place to go.

What are some of your favourite places to go on a day trip to?

Perfect Lipsticks for Spring

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, today I've got some of my favourite lipsticks for Spring for you.
First up is Collection Cream Puffs in Fairy Cakes and Cotton Candy, you can see I like them having two of them for my favourites, they are just so creamy and moisturising on the lips but have good colour pay off. Fairy Cakes is a coral orange shade and Cotton Candy is a lovely pink shade. They are really inexpensive as well.

MAC Chatterbox has been a favourite of mine for years, it was my first ever MAC lipstick it's such a gorgeous Spring pink that I love wearing. I always say you can never go wrong with a MAC lipstick there always pigmented, long lasting and feel nice on the lips.

Catrice Pinkadilly Circus is a bright coral pink, that isn't as long lasting as these other lipsticks but it's so moisturising and feels amazing on the lips and is really pigmented until it wears off.

MUA Shade 7 is a lovely coral shade, it's been a favourite of mine for quite sometime and it was the first coral shade I bought because I think only certain coral/orange shades suit me and I'm more of pink lipstick girl. It lasts quite a while and is pigmented but it isn't as moisturising as these other lipsticks but at £1 you can't go wrong.

Next up is the Revlon Colourburst in Fuchsia, I mentioned this in my monthly favourites too because it's such a great lipstick, it's a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink, that is so pigmented and long lasting and feels really nice on the lips and it makes your teeth look whiter which is a good bonus.

Lastly is the Bourjois Color Boost in Peach on the Beach, this is one of the lipsticks that you can't not mention for Spring, it's a peachy pink shade that is so stunning and is just a statement of mine for Spring. It's so moisturising on the lips but has good pigmentation and lasts quite a while.

Expectations...

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. Today I thought I would change it up a bit and do a more personal post than doing mostly beauty.
I think we all have these expectations of what we want to happen in life but things don't always turn out the way you expect but you just need to go with how it turns out.

When I was younger I thought quite often that I wasn't living up to the expectations of my family. If your feeling like that you just have to remember you have to do what makes you happy and more often than not your family will be alright about that. You need to remember that you can't live up to everyones expectations and you just need to be yourself and do what you want to do.

The way it can make you feel if your not living up to people's expectation is completely unhappy and you feel like your failing and you lose your self esteem and confidence, you have to do what makes you happy and not for anyone else and you aren't failing at all, your doing whats best for you.

We all have our own expectations that we want to live up to but you need to make sure you don't put too much pressure on yourself because it can make yourself feel worse if you don't achieve them. We all have goals and you can achieve them but try not to put pressure on yourself and take each day as it comes.

Expectations aren't always a bad thing just remember that everything might not turn out how you expect but it's still alright if it doesn't. Expectations can help you stay motivated to achieve what you want.

I hope this posts helps any of you and I think we all have some sort of expectations we want to live up to. What are your expectations?
