MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I got Girl About Town as a Christmas present from the lovely Alessia, you should go check her blog out it's great.
This is such a gorgeous hot pink fuchsia colour, this will be perfect for spring/summer time with minimal eye and face makeup. It's such a great shade that I absolutely love.

Girl About Town is a blue-toned pink so it makes your teeth look whiter and just brightens up your appearance.

It's an amplified creme finish so it's really creamy and moisturising on the lips. All MAC lipsticks are really pigmented and are long lasting. It has it's own sheen to it so you don't need to wear a lipgloss over the top.

This is a perfect shade for any skin tone and will suit them all.

Like most people I love MAC lipsticks and definitely want more of their lipsticks.

All MAC lipsticks are £15 which is an alright price, I just hope they don't put them up anymore.

Overall this is a beautiful shade that I love and I'm sure you will too.

What do you think to MAC lipsticks?

Essence Irresistible Caramel Cream Eyeshadow Duo

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, I've been to TGI's earlier for a meal it was so yummy.
I also got this lovely eyeshadow duo from Nia, so thank you again to her.

I've tried a couple essence products in the past so it was nice to try their eyeshadows as I've not tried them before and I'm an eyeshadow person.

This is the duo in Irresistible Caramel Cream, there both metallic shimmery shades, one is a creamy colour the other a golden brown. The brown shade looks quite similar to MAC woodwinked but I haven't swatched to see if they are.

The duo is great for a simple everyday wear when you don't want two much makeup on, these are both nice wearable shades that will suit everyone.

They are quite pigmented  but not as pigmented as some of my other eyeshadows and last for quite a while.

The packaging is quite simple and nice and isn't too bulky, so perfect when your on the go.

I love the 3d effect it has with the swirls for the eyeshadow, I think it's really nice.

I'm not sure on the price but It's an inexpensive brand so it shouldn't be too much and you can buy Essence in certain Wilkinson's shops in the UK, so if you get the chance go in and take a look.

Overall I think it's a nice duo that I've been liking wearing.

What do you think to Essence makeup?

Catrice Makeup

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I have never tried Catrice makeup before and the lovely Nia from Style of Colors got me some goodies for Christmas, so a huge thank you to her and you should definitely go take a look at her blog.
I've not heard that much about Catrice as a brand but it was nice to try them.

The lipstick is in 210 Pinkadilly Circus and this is from the Ultimate Colour range, it's a hot pink colour but looks quite subtle on the lips it doesn't look too much. It's very moisturising and pigmented and has really good staying power on the lips even when you eat and drink. The packaging is black and sleek, which I really like. This colour will be perfect for Spring/Summer time. I love lipsticks and have a lot of pinks in my collection but you can never have two many. I'm so glad I got to try this lipstick and definitely want to try more from Catrice, there really good quality, wish they were available in the UK.

The blush is a Defining Blush in Love & Peach, it's a matte peachy coral blush, that I think will suit most skin tones. The blush is really soft and silky and easy to blend on the cheeks. It's really pigmented, you only need a small amount and lasts quite well on the cheeks. This is a nice shade that's quite natural looking and will be suitable for all year round. The packaging isn't the most appealing but it does the job. It contains 5g of product which I think is a good amount and it will last you a while as you don't need much when you apply it.

I'm not sure on the exact price for the products but there a drugstore brand so they should be a reasonable price.

Overall I think Catrice is a great brand with good quality products, I just wish we could get them in the UK, you can try online and if you live in a country that stocks Catrice you should definitely go try some of their products out. I now want to try more of their products.

Have you tried Catrice, what do you think to them?

Urban Decay Naked Basic's Palette

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, sorry for not posting much I've been quite busy this week and not had much time but I will be trying to post more regularly again. I now have my braces off which has been weird but great, I'm glad to finally have them off and have a nice smile. Anyway on to the post, I got the Urban Decay Naked Basic's for Christmas and I thought I would review it for you.
This is a quite known palette in the blogging and YouTube world, I had seen so many great reviews and video's using this palette so I wanted to try it.

On an everyday sort of basis for the daytime, I like to just wear neutral shades on my eyes, so this palette is perfect, to do a natural look but you can also create a more dramatic smokey eye if you want to.

This palette is also great for beginners, who are just starting out in a makeup and want to wear eyeshadow, as some of the shades are really natural looking and it won't look like you have too much makeup on.

The packaging is sleek and slim, it's a good palette for travelling with as it isn't too bulky and it has a big mirror inside.

There is 6 eyeshadows in the palette, 5 are matte shades in the palette and 1 with slight shimmery, so if you like matte eyeshadows this is a good palette to go for.

The first shade is Venus it's a pale creamy colour this is the shade with slight shimmer, Foxy is a matte beige colour, W.O.S-Walk Of Shame is a matte pinky shade, Naked 2 is a matte pale taupey brown shade, Faint a matte brown shade and finally Crave which is a matte black shade.

From the swatches you can see the first 3 shades are quite light and nearly match my skin but when applied to the eyes you can see them more.

The palette is only £20 which I think is quite a reasonable price for high end and it has 6 lovely shades, perfect for everyday wear.

Overall I think it's a quite nice palette and I definitely want to try the other Naked palettes.

What do you think to the Naked Basic's palette?

MAC Rebel Lipstick

Hey Lovelies, hope you all had a great weekend and are having a nice Monday morning, I got MAC Rebel lipstick for Christmas and I've been wearing it quite bit, so I thought I would share my thoughts with you.
I had heard so many good things about this lipstick and I know it is a known lipstick in the blogging and YouTube world, a lot of people have this lipstick. I've been wanting this lipstick for a while and I'm so glad I got it.

Rebel is a dark purple/plumy berry shade, it does look like quite a scary shade to wear but it is really wearable, it's a great to wear in these winter months. It's such a gorgeous shade and will look great on any skin tone.

I've been wearing it a lot recently and really love it. It's such a beautiful and unique colour that I now have in my collection.

I've always loved MAC lipsticks there really pigmented, long lasting and not drying on the lips.

Rebel is a satin finish, so it's not matte and has a sort sheen to it, it's not drying and is moisturising.

MAC lipsticks are £15 which is an okay price I think, it's just annoying when they keep putting up their prices.

What do you think to MAC's Rebel lipstick?

FOTD: Light Purple Smokey Eye

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I thought I would do a makeup look post, my makeup looks seem to be a quite popular post, so I thought I would do one today on the makeup I was wearing on a YouTube video.
I applied my foundation, concealer and powder.

Then for eyes I applied shade 1 from the MUA Glamour Days palette, all over the lid. Then shade 2 which is from Miss Sporty it doesn't have a name. Shade 3 which is from Wet N Wild also doesn't have name I applied to 2/3 and to the outer corner. Then the next eyeshadow was shade 4 this black from 2 true and I just applied this to the outer corner and crease but blended so it wasn't as dark, then I used shade 5 as the highlight under the brow bone and in the inner corner of my eye. Finally I applied the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner and mascara.

Then filled in my eyebrows.

For my cheeks I applied MUA blush in Dolly.

Finally I applied Rimmel London Kate Moss in Shade 19.

I really like this makeup look and it's not too much, you could wear it in the daytime or nighttime.

Hope you enjoyed the makeup look.

New Years Resolutions 2014

Hey Lovelies, hope you all had a good New Years Eve and New Years Day, I can't believe it's 2014 already, 2013 has flown by. I thought I would share with you my resolutions, I never really do resolutions as I think if you want to change something you can do it whenever you want but that being said I thought I would have some.

Image from google and then edited by me.

1. I think most of you know I do YouTube videos and on some of my videos I've had comments telling me to be more confident, if you know me I'm not the most confident of people but I have gained confidence over the last few years. I'm going to try to be more confident and believe in myself more which is hard for me but I'm going to try.

2. Try to upload blog posts and YouTube videos as often as possible at least once a week or more is my goal but sometimes it's hard when I have lots of college work to do.

3. Get a good grades for my Health and Social Care BTEC once I finish this year, I'm doing quite well now and I hope to keep that up.

4. Once I've finished college, I'm hoping to get a job as a teaching assistant, so hopefully that will happen, it's been my dream job to work with children.

5. Lastly my resolution is to try to not get as worried and stress, I'm the type of person that worries and stresses out a lot so I want to try to not let it happen a lot. I don't think I can ever stop getting stressed and worried but I want it, to not be as much.

I don't have too many resolutions and I couldn't really think of many but these are the ones I'm going to try to do.

What are your New Years Resolutions, let me know.

Revlon Lacquer Balms-Guest Blog Post

Hey Lovelies, hope you all had a nice Christmas and got everything you wanted, here is a guest post today from the lovely Frederica.

Hello, lovelies. My name is Frederica, and I'm a mom to three who lives in the States. The very sweet and generous Ashleigh has offered me a chance to return to the world of blogging once more and feature a guest post on her lovely blog. Since Ashleigh lives in the UK and I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I thought it might be fun to write about a newly released product that I have personally confirmed with Revlon will be available in the UK come January 2014.

Last year, Revlon released the Just Kissable Balm Stains which everyone and their mother went crazy over here in the US. I have two which I have mixed feelings over. I like the colours but I find the actual texture kind of hard and waxy, not terribly balm-esque. Cue last month.... I started seeing some of my favourite beauty bloggers talk about the newly released Lacquer Balms and Matte Balms which are the newest incarnations of the crayon lip colour trend. I found a display at my local drugstore/highstreet that for once hadn't been picked over and had all 20 shades available. I was instantly drawn to the Lacquer Balms as I'm not a huge fan of matte lip textures, and I picked up both Coy and Ingenue.

Coy is a gorgeous ruddy brown with beautiful gold micro-shimmers (which don't really translate to the lips). I ADORE this colour, and I've been wearing it nearly every day. It is the perfect autumn red for a super fair lass like me. If you are a ginger like me, this is definitely a great red to try.

Ingenue is a perfect nude as it is a pinky brown that's glossy and very ladylike. Almost a baby pink with a touch of brown which saves me from the dreaded concealer lips look. I like this colour for the days when I can't be bothered to do a full face of makeup. It is such a pretty light colour, I don't even need a mirror to apply it. It also goes great with any heavier eye makeup look as it doesn't steal the spotlight.

If you come across these next month, definitely take a look and see if any strike your fancy. The Lacquer Balms are glossy and somewhat moisturising. A lot easier to wear than their Just Kissable Balm Stain cousins with a much better shade selection in my opinion.
Thank you for taking the time to read my little post today, I hope that you found it enjoyable. Like what you see and want more? Be sure to follow me on Instagram @delicatewhispy_.

Thank you to Frederica for doing this post for me and you definitely should follow her on instagram she has gorgeous pictures and a makeup collection that I’m jealous of and is so nice. I'm very excited to try these when they come out in the UK.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a great day, can't believe it's not that long till Christmas, I'm so excited.

Today I thought I would review the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I've had for about a month and have been using it constantly and think it's a great foundation.
When it comes to foundation I always like to try new ones, I mostly just use highstreet foundations, I've heard so many good things about the Bourjois foundation's so I finally decided to try it.

I have the shade 51 which is the lightest shade, it is slightly too light for me so I mix a darker foundation with it and it creates the perfect shade for me then. It's a perfect shade for paler skin tones.

It's a light to medium coverage and is quite dewy, I think the formulation is great it leaves my skin feeling really nice.

It does claim 16 hours but I don't think it lasts that long but it does last quite a long time, I've worn it for college when I've had a long day and it's lasted quite well.

I apply the foundation with my real techniques stippling brush and it is so easy to blend and looks natural on your skin.

Bourjois says "Give your skin a radiance boost and leave it looking flawless for up to 16 hours! Enriched with a fruit therapy formula; Apricot for radiance, Melon for hydration and Apple to protect your youth. It also contains crystalline pigments for an even complexion and healthy glow. Soft and easy to blend." I agree with the hydration, glow and radiance of your skin, it really does that.

The foundation is £9.99 which I think is a reasonable price foundation, you always have to spend more on foundation.

Overall I think it's a great foundation and highly recommend it. The only downside I would say is there no SPF.

Have you tried the Bourjois foundation, what do you think to it?

Also I've posed a couple of Christmas type video's on my YouTube if you want to look.

The Body Shop Gift Sets

Hey Lovelies, this is an exciting post for me, I was kindly sent two of The Body Shop Gift Sets to review on my blog which I'm extremely grateful for.

First off is the Mango Lip and Body Butter Snowman, I have used the lip and body butters for quite a few years now and I love them, there always something I repurchase. They both keep your skin and lips in good condition. The body butter is 50ml which I think is a good size for taking anywhere and it will last quite a long time, the normal size is 200ml which is a lot and last you ages but is quite bulky for travelling with so this 50ml is better for when your on the go. The lip butter is 10ml which is the normal size as there regular range. This is a great set for winter as your lips and skin tend to get a lot drier so this will help them stay nourished. This gift set is really cute and only £7 which is a great price if your on a budget and is a nice set for female family members or friends.

Next is the Strawberry Mini Cupcake Set , in this set you get a 60ml strawberry shower gel, heart soap and a pink and red scrunchies. I think the 60ml shower gel will also be good for travelling as it's a reasonable size and not too bulky. I've not used the shower gel before but the majority of the body shop products I love so I'm sure I will love this too. This smells really nice too, that's what I love about body shop products they always smell nice. This gift set is only £5 which is such a bargain and will be a great gift for people. I think they should also bring this gift set out for Valentines Day it would be perfect for then too.

They also have a lot more great gift sets for offer, so you should look in store and online. There gift sets are a reasonable price and you can get things on a budget.

"The Body Shop has been supporting education for over 20 years through our Community Fair Trade programme. Our sustainable trade has helped communities all over the world give their children a better future by enabling them to invest in the building of schools and provision of teaching materials. This Christmas, we want to show our commitment to education even more by helping to build five schools around the world in areas together with our Community Fair Trade partners."
All the purchases you make some of the money will be going towards building schools, which I think is a great cause so by buying a present for other people your also helping to build futures for children which is amazing.
