May Favourites

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend. I've got my May Favourites for you, here's what I've been loving this month.

Beauty Favourites
First up is the Maybelline Baby Lips, when I've been wearing minimal makeup or just wanting to moisturise my lips, I've been using Baby Lips quite a lot to keep my lips hydrated. I have this Baby Lips in Cherry Me so it gives a hint of pink to the lips. I have 2 Baby Lips already and think there great, they give you a hint of colour but keep your lips moisturised and hydrated.
Next up is the Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender, in Spring and Summer I always like wearing cream blushes and this Bourjois one is one of my favourites. It's a lovely pink shade and like the dewiness it gives to the cheeks and it lasts for quite a while too.
My next favourite is this Sunkissed Palette, I've had this palette for ages and I've been using it a lot this month, I've been wearing golds a lot and then browns in the crease and it really brings out my blue eyes and it makes me look more awake which I really like. These are all shimmery shades.
I have talked about this a lot but it's the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Elusive, it's slightly darker than my natural lip colour and it's an easy everyday shade to wear. It's really pigmented and lasts for quite a long time on the lips and even though it's matte it doesn't dry out your lips. Since buying it, it has been a favourite of mine and I love it.
Another lip favourite of mine is the Rimmel London Kate Moss in Shade 16 this is a gorgeous corally pink shade it's really pigmented and lasts for quite a long time on the lips. It is quite moisturising as well. This a perfect shade for Spring and Summer.
The Rimmel London Scandal Eyes in Bulletproof Beige has been a great combo with the Sunkissed palette, I've been using the Scandal Eyes as a base and applying the eyeshadow over the top. I have also worn it on it's own too and it's just a natural wash of colour, it's a light golden shade. It also helps to keep the eyeshadow on for longer.
I've had MAC Well Dressed for ages it was my first ever MAC blush it's a natural light pink blush and I've been wearing it more this month. It has slight shimmer on it but it's not noticeable this blush is a nice shade for pale skin tones like me. It's quite pigmented and lasts for a good amount of time on the cheeks.
My last beauty favourite is the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter, I have mentioned this lot of times before and this my favourite highlight out of all the highlighters I own. It is a pinky highlight that will look nice on any skin tone to give them a nice glow. This highlight is also really cheap.

Non-Beauty Favourites
Music- I've been listening to Lea Michele album a lot and I think it's a great album and love all the songs and relate to some of them. Ed Sheeran- All Of The Stars is a song for The Fault In Our Stars, it's such a beautiful song that I love listening to. Ariana Grande-Problem is another song that I've loved listening to and it's different to her other music.

TV Shows- I've recently started watching Smallville, I know it's an old show but I had never watched it till now and I've been loving it so far. Believe is a newish TV show that came on a few months ago and I've found it interesting and love watching it. Both shows are similar in some ways as both main characters have abilities that help people.

Books- The Girl In The Box series, I mentioned this book in my favourite books post and I read a lot of the books this month and really enjoyed them all and if you have a kindle, you can get the first 3 books for free so that's a bonus to you book lovers.

What are your May Favourites, I would love to know.

New Blog Design

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a great day. I wanted to change up my blog and so I decided to have a new blog design, I had my old design for quite a while so I thought it was time to have a change.
My blog was designed by the lovely Sarah, she has her own great blog, that you should go check out.

She made the design to exactly how I wanted it and she listened and was so helpful about the design. If you want a blog design then you should go talk to her she will do an amazing job that you won't be disappointed in.

I'm hopeless at blog designs so I'm extremely grateful and appreciative to Sarah for doing the blog design for me.

Sarah did the blog design quickly and to an amazing standard, so I would really recommend her if you want a new design.

Thank you again Sarah for doing the blog design.

Here's links to Sarah's blog, twitter, design site and Etsy store if you want to get in touch for a blog design.

This is just a quick post to let you know about Sarah's amazing work and if you want a blog design.

Some of My Favourite Books

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, if you didn't know I'm an avid book reader and I've never shared with you my favourite books so I thought I would do a blog post on it, so you know some of my favourites.
I'm using images of the Internet as most of my books are on my kindle.

First up is The Fault In Our Stars, this is an incredible book and I have read it a few times, it's an emotional story but it is amazing and it's one of the best books I've read. The Fault In Our Stars is about a 16 year old called Hazel and she has cancer but the main focus of the story isn't her cancer it's her relationship with Augustus and her parents. She starts going to a support group and meets Augustus and they become friends and she tries to keep him at bay because she doesn't want him to get hurt. It's a beautiful love story that isn't cheesy and cliche which I really like. I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil it for anyone, so if you haven't read it you should go read it, you will not be disappointed it's an amazing book that you will love.

Divergent is another favourite of mine, Divergent is is a dystopian novel it revolves around Tris. At 16 years old you have to take an aptitude test and it will determine which faction you will be in. There are 5 factions, Abnegation which is selfless, Amity which is peacefulness, Erudite which is intelligence, Candor which is honest and Dauntless which is bravery. The aptitude test reveals she is divergent which means she doesn't fit into just one faction. Tris has been in Abnegation but she doesn't see herself as selflessness enough and so she chooses Dauntless. In the book you see Tris's journey and she is strong and stubborn character. It's an action packed story but isn't all action it has romance and Tris finding herself as a person. It is part of a trilogy and the other books are Insurgent and Allegiant there also great books and you should go read them all.
Another favourite is The Mortal Instruments series. City of Bones is the first book and it is about Clary Fray, she goes to a club with her friend Simon and she witnesses someone getting stabbed but no one else can see except her. She then goes out with her friend Simon later on and see's Jace one of the people from the club that stabbed someone. She finds out that Jace is a shadowhunter and that what he killed was a demon. Her mother rings her and tells her not to come home and that she's been found and the phone cuts off, Clary goes home to find the house destroyed and her mother missing and a demon tries to attack her. Clary later on finds out she is a shadowhunter and so was her mother and that her father Valentine is after the mortal cup that her mother has hidden. This a great series and you should go read them, I am just about to read the last book that came out recently, so I'm excited to see what happens next.
The last book I'm going to talk about is The Girl in the Box series. If you have a kindle you get the first 3 books for free, so it's a bonus. The first book in the series is Alone, it's a story of Sienna Nealon she's 17 years old and has been kept in the house for most of her life by her mother. One day he mother vanishes and Sienna doesn't know where she's gone and two men come into her house and she fights them off and later on Wolfe who is a vicious monster trys to attack her to bring her with him. The people she fights off in her house, come to her rescue and she is taken to a place called the Directorate and she finds out she is a meta human with powers. It's a great series so you should go read it, there is 10 books in total, I've read 9 of them and I'm waiting for the release of the 10th to read.

What are your favourite books? I'm always on the look out for new books.

If you liked this post, let me know and I will do more in the future.

Top 5 Spring/Summer Lip Products

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a great weekend, now I've handed my work in, I'll have more time to blog and I will be posting more regularly again.
If you didn't know, I'm quite the lip junkie and love wearing lip products, it was hard for me to just pick 5 but I narrowed it down and picked my favourites.

First lip product is Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive, this is a slightly darker than your lip colour pink shade, it's not too bright or dark it's a nice everyday shade if you don't know what to wear and it's really pigmented. It is matte formulation but it's not drying and it lasts for quite a long time too.

Next up is MAC's Chatterbox lipstick, this was one of my first ever MAC lipstick and I still love it today, it's a blue toned bright medium pink so it does help your teeth look whiter. I think is quite a wearable shade that will look great on any skin tone. It's an amplified finish so it is quite glossy and really pigmented.

My third favourite is Bourjois Color Burst in Peach on the Beach it's a gorgeous corally orange shade that is great for both Spring and Summer. It's quite pigmented and lasts a good amount of time. It's glossy and moisturising which I really like in a lip product.

Next is the Beauty UK In The Buff lipstick, this is a corally pink shade that isn't too bright. It's really moisturising and pigmented and lasts for quite a while on the lips. This lipstick is really cheap too which is a bonus.

Lastly is the Collection Cream Puff in Fairy Cake this is a medium orange shade, it does look lighter on the lips than in the swatch. This formulation is really creamy and moisturises the lips. It is really pigmented and lasts for a while on the lips.

I love wearing pinky and corally shades that are quite bright in Spring and Summer.

What are your favourite Spring/Summer lip products?

Top 5 Spring/Summer Blushes

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a great weekend and enjoying the sunshine, I know I haven't blogged much this week and it will be same next week, just because I have a lot of college work to do and I have a deadline for Friday to hand everything in, so my focus has been getting the work done but I didn't want you to leave you without a post and I love blogging so I thought I would get one done for you. This is going to be part of a little series of my top 5 Spring/Summer products, this post will be on blushes and the next two will be on lipstick and nail polishes.
The first blush is Revlon's Photoready Cream Blush in Pinched, when it is Spring/Summer I love wearing cream blushes they are so light-weight on the cheeks and give a dewy look. This cream blush is an orangey/corally colour and has some shimmer but it is not very noticeable on the cheeks. The blush is really pigmented and lasts a good few hours on the cheeks. This shade will look great on any skin tone too. It costs around £7.99 which is a reasonable price and it does last, I've had this since last year and still got a lot left.
The next blush is the Catrice Blush in Love and Peach. Love and Peach is a gorgeous matte corally/orangey shade. This blush is really pigmented and creamy and lasts for quite a while on the cheeks. This shade will also look great on any skin tone. I'm not sure on price as the lovely Nia sent me this but it isn't expensive.
This is the MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose. English Rose is a lovely light shimmery pink, I like to swirl my brush on all the shades and then apply on the cheeks and it gives a nice sheen to the cheeks. This shade looks best on lighter skin tones like myself as it is light pink and might not show up on darker skin tones. The blush isn't the most pigmented but it does last quite well on the cheeks. This Mosaic Blush is really cheap and only £2.50 which is a bargain and has been a favourite of mine for ages.
Next up is the Collection Shimmer Shade in Way To Glow, this is a lovely peahcy/brown sort of shade with shimmer it's hard to explain but what I like to do is swirl my brush in all the shades and apply to the cheeks, it gives a gorgeous sunkissed glow. This blush is quite pigmented and lasts for quite a while. It is cheap as well at only £4.19.
Finally this is the Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender as I mentioned before I love wearing cream blushes in Spring/Summer and this is a gorgeous light peachy pink shade. These blushes are cream to powder formulation so it is in between sort of blush, it still has the dewiness of a cream blush but dries to a powder finish. This blush is really pigmented and lasts for a good amount of time on the cheeks. Bourjois Cream blushes cost £7.99 which is a reasonable price.
Here's swatches of all the shades, as you can see the Revlon and Catrice blush are really similar but the Revlon blush is  a slightly more deeper orangey/corally shade. The MUA blush is a quite light shade. The Collection Shimmer Shade was hard to swatch but it does look a lot nicer on the cheeks than it does in this swatch. Last up the Bourjois blush is just a lovely shade. All of these shades are gorgeous Spring/Summer blushes.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

What are your favourite blushes for Spring and Summer, let me know in the comments.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Vivacious

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, I have had this Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm for ages now but I completely forgot about it and so I thought I would share my thoughts with you, even if I'm late on this bandwagon of reviewing it.

I had already tried the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and then the Matte Balm Stains and I wanted to try the Lacquer Balms, when I looked through the Lacquer Balms the shades and the shimmer through some of them didn't appeal to me but Vivacious looked like a great shade and I instantly wanted it.

Vivacious is a deep but a bright pink with red undertones which is a perfect shade for summer with minimal eye makeup. The Lacquer Balm is really pigmented and quite long lasting as well, it last about 4/5 hours on my lips and then starts to fade but it still leaves a stain to the lips. This shade doesn't have shimmer like some of the other shades. This is a shade that will look great on a variety of skintones.

The Lacquer Balms are easy to apply and are really glossy, they feel really nice on the lips and do not stick to any dry patches and are quite moisturising.

The packaging is like most of the other lip crayons in a bullet and these Lacquer Balms have a shiny and metallic packaging instead of just coloured ones, I think the packaging is really nice. The packaging also reflects the exact colour of the lip crayon.

These Lacquer Balms cost the same as the rest of the lip crayons at £7.99 and you can buy them from Boots or Superdrug, I think they are a reasonable price for what you get.

Overall I love this Lacquer Balm it is really pigmented and glossy and it is a gorgeous shade that I love wearing. All of the different formulations of lip crayons are great and I can't choose what my favourite is, I like them all in different ways.

What are your thoughts on the Lacquer Balms and What are your favourite shades?

Hope you enjoyed reading.

Q and A

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, known I've not blogged that much my camera kept playing up but hopefully when I put new batteries in it will be fine, so I thought I would do a Q and A seen as I don't need my camera and you can get to know more about me.

I asked on Instagram and Twitter for questions, so here's some of them, let me know if you would like me to do more Q and A's in the future and follow me on either of them, so you know for next time if you want to ask questions.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I always watched YouTube and read blogs because I loved beauty and I would talk to family and friends about beauty but they weren't very interested. So I thought I would start a blog and talk about it on there so I could share my views and products I love with people that are interested. Blogging is a big passion of mine and I do not know where I would be without it, I absolutely love it and I'm so grateful to all of you that follow and read my blog, it really means a lot.

How do you stay motivated?
When it comes to blogging because I enjoy it and love doing posts, I am motivated to do posts for you and myself. When it comes to college I am not always motivated but I make myself motivated so I do the work and then I've accomplished it and I can do what I want after so that helps me stay motivated. What helps me stay motivated is also people around me and myself.

My favourite makeup brand?
This is a hard one as I have all different products from different brands that are my favourites. If I had to choose one though I would probably say MAC as I have tried a lot of their products and I love them.

If you could only wear one lipstick for the rest of your life which would you choose?
This is another hard one as I am a lip junkie and love changing up my lip colour. I like wearing all different colours and shades but if I had to choose one I would say Rimmel London Matte Lipstick in 107, this has been a favourite of mine for ages and I like wearing it a lot and wear it all year round.

Are you more of a drugstore or highend makeup girl?
I love highend makeup but I can't always afford it and don't have as much highend, I have more drugstore makeup so I would say I am more of a drugstore girl.

What is your favourite bronzer?
My favourite bronzer is NYC Sunny, all though my sister has nicked it from me, it's my favourite, it's not muddy or too orangey it's just the right shade and it's matte, so you can contour with it.

If you had to pick just one makeup product, what would it be?
One product is a hard one, seen as I like wearing a full face of makeup but I would probably say mascara as I have short eyelashes and mascara always lengthens and volumises them.

What would you like to come from blogging?
I never really thought about anything coming from blogging, I just do it because I love it and don't expect anything from it. Blogging would be a nice career but I don't think I could really do it as a career but I also have other career goals.

Who are your favourite bloggers and why?
I have a lot of favourites and I don't want to offend anyone if I don't mention them, as there is a lot of great blogs out there but I'll just mention some. First of all there is Alessia from Whispers of Angels, she is the sweetest most kindest person and she is always there for me and she has a lovely blog that incorporates beauty, fashion and lifestyle, so you should go follow her if you don't already. Zoella is another I loved her blog and YouTube for ages she's so down to earth and gorgeous and I relate to her a lot. India from The Jewel Beauty, she is so lovely and has an amazing blog with great beauty posts that I love reading and I'm always jealous of all her makeup. Kayleigh from Couture Girl, has been a favourite of mine for ages, she's so gorgeous and does amazing posts that I love reading and she's kind. The last blog I'm going to mention is Sandra from The Black Pearl Blog she has the most gorgeous blog that I love reading she has great pictures and writing style.

I hope you enjoyed the post and if you have any questions you want to ask then leave them below and I will answer in my next Q and A.
