Small Haul

I recently went to Superdrug and picked up a few thing so I thought I would show you.

I bought MUA Starry Night Palette £4, Beauty UK Palette 4 £3.99, Beauty UK Lipstick In The Buff £3.49, MUA Lipsticks in Shade 13 and 16 Nectar £1 and MUA Blush in Shade 1 £1.

The MUA Starry Night palette is very pigmented and the eye shadows are very silky and the eye shadows are shimmery this palette is great for nights out wearing a smokey eye, there is a few pinky, purples to create a wearable look for both daytime and nighttime.

The Beauty UK palette is also very pigmented, there are matte and a few metallic/shimmery eye shadows. This palette is great for daytime and nighttime, you can use the browns to make a bronzy daytime look, greens for daytime or nighttime and the silvery blacks for a smokey eye at night. The Palettes are very similar

From left to right- MUA Shade 13 lipstick, MUA Shade 16 Nectar lipstick and Beauty UK In The Buff lipstick. These are all great colours and I love them. MUA Shade 13 is a pinky red which makes it more easier for more people to wear and it's not a too bright red. MUA's Nectar is a peachy coral which is good for spring and summer. Beauty UK In The Buff is a pinky colour it's my lip colour but better.

MUA Shade 1 blush, is a very pale barbie pink blush, this is great for pale people and very wearable.

Alexandra Burke MUA Lip Booms

These are the new lip products by MUA by Alexandra Burke. I've only had them for a few days but so far I really like them. There is a lipstick then a highlighting gloss, you can use the lipstick on its own, the lipstick and the highlighting gloss on your cupids bow, use the lipstick and apply the highlighting gloss all over the lips or just use the gloss it's called a 4 in 1 product. The lipgloss has glitter in it so if you don't like glitter I wouldn't recommend it. They are really inexpensive only £3 and at Superdrug they are doing 3 for 2 on all makeup.

Here's swatches of the shades I have. The light barbie pink on the left is called cheeky I do like the colour but it doesnt really work for me but it might work for you, the orange-peachy colour in the middle is called omg and I really like this shade perfect for spring and summer, the light red-berry colour on the right is called doin good and it's my favourite, I love this shade. There is a range of shades to choose from nude, orange-peachy, pinks and reds.

Have you tried the Lip Booms, what do you think for them?

Real Technique Brushes

I love the real technique brushes they are amazing. I use the stippling brush for my foundation it goes on effortlessly and looks nice on the skin this my favourite brush you can also use it for cream blush. I use the buffing brush for powder it helps blend the powder into the foundation beautifully. I use the contour brush obviously for contouring and it's the perfect shape brush to contour. I use the detailer brush for concealing or to apply lipstick. I don't really use the pointed foundation brush, the pointed foundation brush is a bit small to apply foundation but I'm not sure what to use it for.
What do you use the pointed foundation for?

The core collection is quite expensive its £21.99 but they are amazing brushes. The stippling brush is £11.99 which isn't too bad and i highly recommend it, it's the perfect brush for foundation.

What do you think of the real technique brushes?

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara

My new favourite mascara is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara, it makes my eyelashes thicker and longer you don't need to use eyelash curlers the mascara makes them longer for you, you can only use on coat and it really lengthens them but i do use a few coats, I've had a few comments about my eyelashes while wearing the mascara. Some of my friends use this mascara and love it too. I highly recommend buying it, it's only £6.99 it's inexpensive for the amazing product you get. In The Saturday's latest music video 30 days and in 90210 they are seen using the mascara.

Maybelline Color Tattoo's

The Maybelline Color Tattoo's are amazing. I only have on and on bronze but I love it. It's has good colour pay off, it lasts a long time I wouldn't say 24 hours but it does last a long time. They have a range of colours bronze, gold, silver, blue, purple. I preferred the bronze because I can use it everyday, I really like the gold too which I will probably get next, the other colours look amazing but I wouldn't use them very often, you could use the brighter colours as eyeliners or underneath the lash line. They are easy to use and you can use them on there own which makes it easier when your in a rush or with eyeshadow, I use mine with eyeshadow but it's up to you.

I highly recommend them and there only £4.99 which is really inexpensive, they have been compared to MAC paint pots, I don't have any paint points but the Color Tattoo's are a cheaper alternative. I hope they come out with more neutral shades then I would buy more of them. They are named different in America I think on and on bronze is called bad to the bronze in America.

Here's a swatch of the on and on bronze Color Tattoo it's such a beautiful colour.

Revlon Lip Butters Vs Loreal Caresse Lipsticks

Hey, I'm Ashleigh I'm 17 this is my first post, I love beauty especially makeup so I thought I would start a blog to express my love of beauty, hope you enjoy.

I know I'm a little late on the hype of the Revlon Lip Butters but I don't think it matters. The Revlon Lip Butters are very moisturising and the two I've got have good colour pay off. There is a variety of colours nude, pinks, orange, I have the more bright colours but there is pale ones so it's up to you what you want. The Lip Butters don't last very long, not as long as a lipstick but what do you aspect there like a tinted lip balm. They cost £7.99 which is a bit pricey for a drugstore lip product but if you want a hint of colour to the lips and help them stay moisturised I highly recommend them. The Loreal Caresse Lipstick is a lot like the Revlon Lip Butters but I think they are much better, they are more pigmented and they last longer but there not as moisturising as the Revlon Lip Butters. The Loreal Caresse Lipsticks are the same price as the Revlon Lip Butters.

Here's some swatches of the Lip Butters and the Caresse Lipstick. The one on the left is the Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie, the middle is the Lip Butter in Sweet Tart and the Caresse Lipstick on the right is Tempting Lilac. I think they are all beautiful colours and the other Lip Butters and Caresse Lipsticks are also beautiful. I highly recommend to try them.
