The Tough Times Will Pass

Hey Lovelies, hope your having a good day, sorry for not posting last week and not much this week so far, I've had a lot going on and some of it tough that's why I thought I would do this personal post.
Images are from Google.

I'm not going to go into much detail on what happened as it is quite personal and it involves other people and I'm not ready to share. We all have those tough times and we think they won't end but they will.

I find when I'm having a tough time I focus on the negativity and that's what makes it harder to get over it and you need to focus on the future and the positivity otherwise it will make it harder and longer to get over it.

Not being on your own will help, I always find being around people or distracting myself helps take my mind off it and have a better time which can make you feel better otherwise if your on your own you will over think and focus on the negativity of the tough time.

When your ready talk about it with other people, they can help you see a different perspective on the situation and they can help make you feel better.

You will get over the tough time, we always get through them it can take time but you will and sometimes looking back on situations you will not think it was that bad in comparison to other situations you've had to deal with.

We are all strong enough to get through any situation we are put through and we all have to go through the bad and good in life.

Illamasqua Eyeliner and Lipliner Review

Hey Lovelies, hope your having a nice weekend, I've got a review for you today on the Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss and Lip Colouring Pencil in Feisty I won these in a twitter giveaway a while ago but I've only just got round to trying them out as I've had quite a few products that I have been testing out but thank you to Illamasqua for them.
These are the first Illamasqua products I've ever tried and I've been so impressed with them and will definitely try more products of theirs.

I'm a big fan of liquid eyeliner and prefer them over gel and pencil eyeliner and this Abyss Eyeliner is liquid and the application is so easy, it has a thin felt tip that you just dip into the pot and you can create thin or thick lines and a cat wing so easily. The eyeliner is very pigmented and applies opaque and glossy, which lasts so long I've worn it for about 10 hours before and it didn't budge till I took it off. It does say its waterproof but I haven't really tried it out to know if it is. The packaging is thin and sleek, so its easy to just pop into your bag. This has been my go to eyeliner and have been loving wearing it. The eyeliner is £20.

Feisty Colouring Pencil is a gorgeous brick red shade, it is easy to apply and not harsh when applying over your lips and isn't drying. You can wear the lip liner alone or with a lipstick, I've been wearing this lip liner with MAC Russian Red its a beautiful combo that I have been loving wearing. It lasts really well on the lips and is very pigmented and opaque. This liner is great for wearing a red lip and stopping the colour from bleeding. The packaging is also sleek and fits easily in your bag. This lip liner is £15.

Thank you again to Illamasqua for these products.

Overall I love both these products and would highly recommend you buying them if your on the look out for a new eyeliner or lipliner.

September Favourites

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, today I am sharing my September Favourites with you.
Beauty Favourites
My first favourite is the Sleek Storm palette, I've had this palette for ages and its been a favourite for ages. It has both shimmery and matte shades, I've been keeping my makeup quite simple for my placement at school and college, so I've been using this palette quite a bit.

For blushers I've been wearing both Nars Douceur and Makeup Revolution in Sugar the most this month. Since buying the Makeup Revolution in Sugar I have loved it, its a pretty pink coral blush, I'm not going into too much detail as I'll be doing a review soon. Nars Douceur is a gorgeous Autumn blush its a deep pinky brown shade that is matte and lasts really well on the cheeks and gives definition.

I've been loving this lip combo the Illamasqua Lip Pencil in Feisty and MAC Russian Red there both gorgeous reds and match really well together, I love a good red lipstick like most people. I was wearing this combo in my previous post at the AX Paris Press Day if you want to see what it looks like.

There is the Natural Collection lipstick in Rose Bud, this is a gorgeous everyday pinky gold lipstick, it doesn't last for the longest of time but it is really pigmented and cheap. Finally Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me, my lips have been a bit more drier this month and this moisturisers my lips really well and gives a hint of colour.
Non-Beauty Favourites
Music-Taylor Swift-Shake It Off is really catchy and I love listening to it, Sam Smith- I'm Not The Only One I just love Sam Smith's music he has an amazing voice, Hilary Duff-Chasing The Sun, I'm glad Hilary Duff has come out with new music I always loved her old songs and she has amazing voice.

TV Shows-Once Upon A Time and Revenge have come back on this month and they are both one of my favourite tv shows of all time. Once Upon A Time is the childhood stories we here about in their own way with real people. Revenge is about Emily Thorne who wants revenge for her fathers death and people who wronged him, you should definitely check them both out.

AX Paris Press Day was a favourite for me, I had an amazing time and met some lovely people and the clothes were gorgeous.

What have been your favourites of the month?

AX Paris Press Day

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, if you didn't know I went to the AX Paris Press Day in Manchester yesterday and it was a definitely a big highlight to my weekend, I had such an amazing time.

I travelled from Sheffield to Manchester and I was really nervous because I came on my own and I don't know Manchester but I did know a few bloggers going so that was good and soon as I walked in the door, the AX Paris team were really welcoming and friendly. The bloggers I talked to were all really lovely and it was nice meeting new bloggers. I finally got the chance to meet the lovely Kayleigh, we have talked for ages but it was nice to finally meet her and she's as gorgeous and friendly in person. I got to meet the lovely Heather we have talked for ages and it was nice to meet her too. I met Georgie for the first time and she's so sweet and it was lovely hanging around with her. It was nice meeting Molly and Latasha they were really friendly and funny.
The food there was so delicious and I'm sure these pictures will make you drool and just seeing them again makes me hungry. I had mini burger, sweet potato fries and normal fries and a cupcake they were so yummy. I also had a cocktail which was really nice.
I have loved AX Paris for a while and have a couple dresses from them so it was very exciting to see their new collection. The AX Paris Autumn/Winter collection is absolutely gorgeous, I think everyone who came loved the clothes and I loved so many pieces and will definitely be buying some when the collection comes out.
There was a talented woman doing henna and she did some amazing designs. I didn't have any henna as I would have probably smudged it and I thought I was going to have to work so it wasn't a good idea but the designs did look beautiful. They also had a photobooth which was really nice so I had some photos to take home.
Last up its the goodie bag which had some amazing little gems in, we got vouchers, makeup, haircare and some crisps and sweets.

I wish I had more of chance to speak to all the bloggers that went but there was so many there, but it was lovely speaking to the ones I did and hope to meet you all again at future events.

I just want to say a huge thank you to AX Paris and Kayleigh for inviting me I had an amazing time and I'm so grateful I could come.

The Autumn Tag 2014

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. I haven't done a tag in a while and I love doing tags so I thought I would do the Autumn Tag this was created by the lovely Georgina.
1.  Ok we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
If you know me, I'm not a coffee drinker and I hardly ever go to Starbucks or Costa and the only thing I drink is tea or hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is more of a seasonal drink I would say and I love the hot chocolate from my local cafe its so nice and I love all the toppings you get on it, so that's what I would pick.

2.  Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I love wearing scarves, boots and gloves, in Autumn though its not too cold so I usually just wear boots and maybe a scarf, I love big scarves that has colour or patterned. I need to buy some new boots, I will be doing soon.

3.  Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I listen to whatever is in the charts and that I like, I don't have a set taste for the seasons, I just listen to charts and old music I have on my Ipod.

4.  Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
My favourite type of scents are always sweet, so I have a lot of sweet perfume's, I would say my favourite is Vera Wang Princess, I wear the same sort of scent all year round.

5.  Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I like any sort of candles, I love them burning they just make a room nice and cosy and smell amazing. My favourite type of scent for candle would probably be vanilla.

6.  What do you love most about Autumn?
What I love most about Autumn is the leaves changing colour on the trees, wrapping up nice and warm in big jumpers and boots, having warm and relaxing baths. Having candles burning and fire on so its nice and cosy.

7.  Favourite makeup look?
My favourite makeup look is bold lips which are usually berry, red or purple shades and neutral eyes with sometimes wearing eyeliner and darker shade blushers.

8.  What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
I don't have anything in particular that I'm looking forward to I just like being warm and cosy with candles burning and fire on.

Answer one of the questions in the comments, would love to see your answers and send me a link if you've done the post.

Beauty Haul

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, I haven't bought any beauty products in a while which is good for me as I usually always have to buy something beauty related when I go shopping. I haven't bought too many things but I thought I would share with you what I got.
First up I'll start with my repurchases the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and the Miss Sporty Clear Mascara. The Rimmel London Pressed Powder and Collection Concealer have been a favourite of mine for years and I always repurchase them when I run out as they are my holy grail products and I use them all the time. The concealer covers up spots and under eye circles really well and isn't cakey and only costs £4.19. The powder helps keep my makeup in place for longer and keeps it matte and isn't cakey and is only £3.99. I use the Miss Sporty Clear Mascara for my eyebrows, any clear mascara will do but I've used this before and really like it, it keeps my eyebrows in place all day and is £2.99.

I got the Tanya Burr lipgloss in First Date, I really wanted Afternoon Tea, Aurora or Picnic in the Park but they didn't have them so I went for First Date which is a lovely bubblegum pink colour. I've not tried the Tanya Burr lipglosses before and I've heard so many good things about them, that I am excited to try. They currently have 1/3 off in Superdrug so it was only £4.66.

Lastly I got some Makeup Revolution products I've heard so many good things about them, I got the eyeshadow palette in Iconic 3 its supposed to be a dupe for the Naked 3 so I really wanted this palette and its only £4. I got a blush in Sugar which is a nice medium pinky coral shade and only cost £1. I got a lipstick in Rebel With Cause which is a gorgeous burgundy berry shade, great for Autumn and only cost £1.

I also got a Lush Bath Bomb in Big Blue which the lovely Georgina got for me but my sister already used some of it so I couldn't really take a picture of it and I got some skincare samples too to try out.

Have you bought anything recently?

Relaxation and Pampering

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I think we all at times get stressed and just want to relax and pamper ourselves, here's what I like to do when I need to relax.
My favourite way to relax is having a bath a nice soak is always a good stress relief and Lush bath bombs are the best they change the water, smell amazing and also leave my skin feeling so soft and nourished. The bath bomb I used for my bath on that day was sex bomb and its so pretty and turned the water a lovely pink colour.

Another way I like to relax and pamper myself is with a face mask every so often, this is just a de-stressing mud mask from Superdrug and its only £1.99, I've tried different ones from Superdug and I always love them. They help to leave your skin feeling in good condition and keep your skin from getting clogged up and this helps with spots.

Lastly when I want to pamper I will do a manicure, I just chose this Barry M nail polish in Berry Cosmo as its a great autumn shade. I think wearing nail polish just brightens up your hands and looks really nice.

What was you do you like to relax and pamper yourself?

Weekly Roundup

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, I wanted to have a little more lifestyle into my blog so, I decided to do a bit of a roundup of my week, if you like these sort of posts, let me know and I'll do more in the future.
I took this picture of this sunset this week and I thought it looked really nice so I thought I would share it with you, anyway what I've been up to this week.

To start off with I think a lot of you will know and if your unaware me, Heather and Georgina are organising a meetup in Sheffield in October. This has been quite an experience for me as I've never helped organise something like this and I'm quite a shy person and its been out of my comfort zone but I've really enjoyed doing it. I've been contacting quite a few brands and we have some amazing brands on board, I don't want to give too much away but were making it different to other meetups and have lots of fun things organised for the day. The invites have been sent out and so check your inbox for your invite. We have accomplished quite a lot but we still have a lot to do but its been really fun. The raffle were having is to raise money for a charity and the charity is Look Good, Feel Better, its an amazing cause that helps women and teenagers suffering from the side effects of cancer and help them improve confidence and well being.

Then towards the end of week I started a new college for my teaching assistant course which gave me anxiety over it but once I got through the first day I was fine. A lot of people on my course are older than me but they were easy to get on with, even though it was a little strange. I also have a placement at a new primary school for part of my course which made me a little nervous but because I've worked in primary schools before it wasn't too bad and I really enjoyed it. I love working with children and hopefully after this course I can get a job as a teaching assistant in a school.

My parents have been on holiday for over a week and come back soon but while they have been away its been nice having my own independence and eating and doing whatever I want.

I hope you liked this little lifestyle post, let me know if you want me to do more and I'll do them every so often.

What have you all been up to this week?

Top Autumn Lipsticks

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day, today I'm going to share with you my favourite lipsticks for Autumn.

First up is MAC Rebel which I'm sure will be a favourite for many, Rebel is a deep plum berry shade which will look nice on any skintone and is just gorgeous, its a satin finish so its quite creamy and moisturising. It lasts really well too and feels nice on the lips, most MAC lipsticks do.

Then there's L'Oreal Plum Passion which is a deep plumy purple shade, it does have shimmer in it but its not very noticeable and is a beautiful shade. It lasts really well and is opaque and quite moisturising.

Next is MAC Diva, MAC lipsticks are one of my favourite brand for lipsticks and there always great formulation. Diva is a deep red wine berry shade which is probably one of the darkest lipsticks I own and I find it quite daring. It is a matte shade but it isn't drying on the lips but your lips need to be in quite good condition to wear it. It's very opaque and lasts really well.

Then there is Beauty UK in Vampire, this is a bright cherry red and it has blue undertones so it makes your teeth look whiter. These lipsticks are so moisturising and feel lovely on the lips you just need to be careful of it going around your lips. It's quite pigmented but isn't the most long lasting. It's also cheap.

Next is Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush its a plum purpley shade and its really buildable to get to the intensity you want. It looks a lot darker than it is in the packaging. I love the Revlon balm stains there so moisturising and last really well on the lips.

Last but not least is a lipstick that every blogger will know and own, its Rimmel London's 107 its a deep berry shade its so gorgeous and is really pigmented. It is matte buts not drying at all and is long lasting. It's also really affordable.

What are your favourite Autumn lipsticks? I also want to know if you like this background to my pictures.

Project Bare All

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice weekend, I've seen a few bloggers doing this project bare all and I think it's great because I've always thought beauty is from within and I know a lot of people like myself feel insecure without makeup on but saying that I thought I would bare all even though I find it hard. It all started with Megan's post so go read her's and she looks gorgeous without makeup.
So here's my picture no makeup, no editing, no nothing, I can't believe I am bare faced on the Internet. My skin has always been reasonably okay, the only time I get spots is that time of the month, so I am grateful for that and seeing the picture now I feel a bit more confident in myself that maybe I can go out without makeup on.

I've always loved makeup and started experimenting more with makeup when I was 15, I loved being able to transform myself with makeup and it helped hide my insecurities within myself. At school or college I would always wear makeup sometimes full face and I never went bare face because I was so unconfident and makeup made me feel better about myself. I was so insecure that anytime I left the house I would have to at least wear a bit of makeup.

I am slightly more confident in that if I'm just visiting family or just going to the shops then I will now go without makeup and I have realised that people aren't paying attention if you have makeup on or not and I used to always think that people would notice and stare at me if I didn't have makeup on. If I am going to a public place such as college or a shopping centre then I wouldn't feel comfortable going without makeup on because of so many people and I think I look better and presentable with makeup on.

I think TV and magazines have made it harder for us girls to go out without makeup as most celebrities will wear full face of makeup and when they don't wear makeup they have been judged on the way they look. It is seen as the normal for girls to wear makeup and then it makes most of us girls feel like we have to wear makeup and feel uncomfortable if we aren't wearing it.

I don't think I'll every feel completely comfortable without makeup but I'm getting more comfortable in not wearing it. I hope other girlies who read this will go makeup free and show we can go without wearing makeup.
