Keeping Your Lips In Good Condition

Hey Lovelies, hope your all having a nice day even though if your in the UK and it's chucking it down.

If your like me during the colder months especially in the winter, my lips get dry and flaky and these are the products that I use to help my lips to stay in good condition and so they look alright when I apply lipstick, let's be honest you don't want to wear lipstick with flaky patches on your lips.

.First off I use the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, this is £5.50 which I think is a reasonable price, you could also make your own lip scrub for cheaper so here's a link on how to. I just take some of the scrub and in circular motions rub it around my lips to get the dry flaky skin off, then the excess you can take off with a wipe or you can lick it off, the Lush lip scrubs do taste really nice. The scrub does really help if you have dry, flaky and chapped lips it evens it out and leaves them in good condition.

Then you can use Lip Balm or Vaseline, my favourite lip balm is the Burt's Bees one and is £3.69 but you could use any you have. The lip balm or Vaseline will keep your lips nice and nourished, soft and moisturised.

After doing both these steps your lips will be soft and in good condition so when you apply lipstick it will look good.

It's just a short post but I hope you enjoyed.

Do you have any tips or tricks to keep your lips in good condition, then leave a comment below.

Top 5 Drugstore Neutral Eyeshadow Palette's

Hey Lovelies, sorry for not blogging much and I haven't done a YouTube video this week just because I've been ill but I'm nearly better now, hope your all okay and having a nice weekend.

I'm mostly a neutral eyeshadow sort of girl when it comes to day wear and I know a lot of people like to wear neutral sort of shades so I thought I would share with you my 5 favourites and it will be good for beginners for starting to wear eyeshadow and there all cheap.

First is MUA's Heaven and Earth this a really nice palette for Autumn it has orangey, orban brown shades. In this palette it is shimmery so it's not to everyone's taste but I like shimmer. This is a dupe for the Naked palette so if you don't want to fork out £36 this is a good alternative at only £4. There easy to apply, really pigmented and quite long lasting.

The next is MUA's Undress Me Too this also has orangey browns perfect for Autumn but it also has taupey browns and black shades. This palette has matte and shimmery/metallic shades which I prefer but I still like shimmery and matte shades. This is a dupe for the Naked 2 so it's a great alternative if you don't want to pay £37 and just pay £4. There really pigmented, but the black isn't the most pigmented and there long lasting.
17 In The Nude Trio, it's got slight shimmer. It has a golden brown, taupey brown and a creamy highlight. These eyeshadows are really soft and velvety. There quite pigmented and long lasting.
This is the Rimmel London Quad in Smokey Brun, this is the old packaging but you can still get it. This was one of the first quads I can remember buying and I've had it for ages and it's one of my favourites. It has a creamy highlight, light taupey colour, a golden brown and a dark brown, these also have slight shimmer. There not the most pigmented but are quite long lasting.
This the last palette, I don't if you can get this quad anywhere I've had it for quite while and it's by the BC, Body Collection. These are matte shades it has a white and cream highlight, a purpley brown which I think is a quite unique shade and a dark brown. These are all really pigmented, soft and long lasting.

What are some of your favourite neutral palette's comment below.

Nanshy Eye Brush Set Review

Hey Lovelies, I have a review for you today on these amazing new eye brushes by Nanshy. I've never tried Nanshy brushes before but I have heard great things about this brand. I was so excited to get the opportunity to try these brushes.
The brushes come in this box, with each name and a bit about the brushes and where you can follow Nanshy.

As soon as I got them, I started using them and they are amazing brushes, they are really soft and feel really nice when your applying your eye makeup, there also dense and great to really get into the crease and pack the eyeshadow on to the lid.

There is 7 brushes in the set, it's a perfect set as it has every brush you need to apply your eye makeup. The brushes in the set are Large Shader, Precise Eyeliner, Angled Detailer, Flat Definer, Blending, Eye Crease and Tapered Crease.
All the brushes have pearly white handles with Nanshy and the name of the brush, they are really light-weight and easy to use. The brushes are black with white tips which  I think is nice.

Nanshy brushes are approved by PETA and are vegan and cruelty free which I think is great, I know there's quite a few bloggers that are vegan so these brushes will be great for them. The brushes are synthetic and antibacterial which makes them really soft.

The set costs £29.95 which I think is a reasonable price for 7 amazing brushes, you can buy them on  BeautyStore4U, Amazon and Ebay

There isn't really anything bad to say about these brushes in my opinion, the only thing is because there white they will get dirty easy but that can't be helped.

I highly recommend trying Nanshy brushes and I'm definitely going to be purchasing some of there other brushes.

You can follow Nanshy on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Have any of you tried Nanshy brushes, what do you think to them?

Interview with Alessia-Whispers From Angels

Hey Lovelies, got a different type of post for you today, it's an interview with the lovely Alessia from Whispers From Angels this is the first interview that I've done so let me know if you enjoy these type of posts and every so often I will interview another blogger.
First of all I just want to say Alessia is my best friend that I've made through blogging, she's always there for me and we talk all the time, she's a genuine, kind and caring person and I love her to bits. She has an amazing blog and YouTube and works so hard, so everyone should go take a look.

On to the interview:
1.What made you want to start a blog?
I had never heard of blogs, crazy I know, then my mama happened to stumble across a vintage blog and it went from there. We would spend Sundays just sighing at the beauty of blogs. Then my mama said to me “why don’t you do a blog?” so I did, it started out as a vintage interior blog, then as I had a huge break, I discovered BeautyCrush on YouTube and then my passion for beauty and fashion blogging fired up.

2.How long have you been blogging?
A year and a bit properly.

3.You blog about beauty and fashion which do you prefer?
Ooh this is tricky, I love both for different reasons but if I had to choose then beauty.

4.Do you prefer writing blog posts or making YouTube videos?
I think I prefer doing videos only because I am not a confident writer.

5.What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I love the community and the events. You are made to feel like you are someone and you make friends too.

6. Whats your favourite shop to buy makeup from?
I’d probably say Boots.

7.Do you have any tips for people wanting to start a blog?
My tip would be, be yourself, do what you want with your blog. Don’t listen to others or feel you have to follow a rule or way of blogging, it’s your blog and that's what will make it special.

8. Whats your favourite shop to buy clothes from?
Ooh this is hard, it’s between ASOS, Vintage and H&M I can’t choose.

9. Whats your favourite makeup brand?
MAC.

10. If you could only have one makeup item and clothing item on a dessert island, what would it be and why?
Makeup it would be Maxfactor Calorie 2000 mascara and fashion wise a bikini it may be a hot island. If it’s an item to have as well as a bikini it would be an all saints dress.

You should all go show Alessia some love on her YouTube and Blog, she deserves it.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I loved interviewing Alessia and you get to know a bit more about her.

If you would like me to do more interviews let me know and if you want me to interview you, get in touch.

The Autumn Tag

Hey Lovelies, I wasn't tagged by anyone to do the autumn tag but I thought I would do it because it's a fun tag and I like autumn.
This tag was created by the lovely Georgina from Makeup-Pixi3.

For Autumn, what is your...

1. Favourite thing about it? I like the leaves on the tree's changing from green to an auburn brown shade and falling off and wearing warmer clothes and wrapping up with coats, gloves and scarfs.

2. Favourite drink? Mine's just the usual tea or hot chocolate, I don't like coffee and I love having warmer drinks when the weather starts to get colder.

3. Favourite scent/candle? I love burning candles when it's colder it's just a nice atmosphere when it's colder to see flickering of a candle I don't have a particular favourite candle. For scents I like mostly sweet scents but I would say vanilla.

4. Best lipstick? I love wearing darker shades in Autumn, my particular favourite is Rimmel London Kate Moss in 107 it's a deep berry colour shade. My go to look is a neutral an eye with dark purple, berry, red shades.

5. Go to moisturiser? I always use a lot more moisturiser in Autumn my skin gets a little bit more dry. My favourite is probably the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser, most moisturisers work well for me.

6. Go to colours for the eyes? I'm a neutral person when it comes to eyeshadow for daytime, I just like beige, goldy or brown shades, if I'm going out at night I like to switch it up but I just mostly wear neutrals.

7. Favourite music or band/singer to listen to? At the minute I've been listening to Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Lawson and Union J I love music and I listen to it everyday.

8. Favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots & a scarf combo)? My favourite that I wear the most of in autumn is a top and cardigan with jeans, boots, a warm coat and scarf.

9. Autumn treat? (i.e. a new scarf or bag you have your eye on)? I really want MAC Rebel it looks like a gorgeous autumn shade, I'm going to be buying a new coat soon as well but not sure what I want yet.

10. Favourite place to be? My favourite place is being at home with the fire and heating on, candles burning, snuggled up on the settee with my pj's on and watching TV and eating chocolate. I love being at home and being warm and cosy.

I tag you all to do it, if you have done the tag, leave your links below so I can go take a look at your answers.

L'oreal Micellar Water Solution Review

Hey Lovelies, here's another review today, it's on the L'oreal Micellar Water, I'm sure you will have heard of it in the blogging world.

The L'oreal Micellar Water is meant to be a dupe for Bioderma but a lot cheaper, I've not tried Bioderma so I can't make a comparison.

The Micellar Water claims to dissolve makeup, unclog pores and remove impurities and tone and soothe skin, I agree with all of these it takes all my makeup off and unclogs my pores and it feels really nice on the skin and it does soothe it, my sister uses it and has sensitive skin and works really well for her too.

What I do is I use a makeup wipe to take my makeup off and then use this after with cotton pads to make sure all my makeup has gone and then I moisturise.

All I do is squeeze a small amount onto a cotton pad and work all around my face and neck and it gets rid of makeup really fast and leaves your face feeling nice and fresh and clean.

It only costs £3.33 which is really inexpensive and it's a really good product, you can buy it from Boots or Superdrug.

Overall I think it's a great product and highly recommend you going out and buying it and trying it for yourself.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons Review

Hey Lovelies, I hope your all having a nice weekend, I've got a review for you on the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons, I know I'm a little late on this bandwagon but I still thought I would share my thoughts on them.

I already have the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and I love them and I heard so many good things about these Bourjois ones so I wanted to try them too.

These are another dupe for the Clinique Chubby Sticks, there has been lots of different brands doing dupes for the chubby sticks.

I love the packaging it's really nice and neat.

There is four different shades, I have Peach on the Beach which is a pale peachy colour and Red Sunrise which is a raspberry red shade. The other two shades are Orange Punch which is obviously a orange shade and Fuchsia Libra a blue toned fuchsia pink shade and I definitely want to buy these other two shades.

I love both the shades Peach on the Beach is a nice everyday shade that I've been wearing the most and Red Sunrise is still a nice shade for a pop of colour to the lips and if your not confident in wearing a deep red shade this is a good alternative.
I find them really easy to apply and because there a crayon it makes it more precise.

They are really pigmented and glossy, it says 10 hour wear but I don't think it lasts that long but it is quite long lasting, on me it last a few hours and I like the stain it leaves behind on the lips. It leaves your lips feeling moisturised which I really like.
Here's swatches of them both, there both great shades.

Bourjois Lip Crayons are £7.99 which I think is a reasonable price and they are amazing and I highly recommend going out and buying them.

What do you think to the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons?

The One and Only Tag

Hey Lovelies, I've got a tag for you today, I wasn't tagged by anyone but I thought it was a good tag to do and so I decided to do it.

The Question: If you could only have one ______ what would it be? And, in a few words, why?

Primer
I haven't tried many primers but my favourite out of the few I have tried is the Benefit Porefessional, it makes my skin feel soft and helps keep my makeup on for longer.
Base Product
My Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation, it's a nice foundation with a medium coverage, it matches my skin really well and it's easy to apply and blend in.

Concealer
I think most youtubers and beauty bloggers will say this, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, it covers up spots and under eye circles really well, lasts a long time and is cheap.

Powder
I've mentioned this before but it has to be my Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, it's a really nice powder that helps your makeup stay on for longer and keeps your face matte.

Blush-Cream or Powder
This is a blush that I wear the most and always go back to if I don't know what to wear, it's the L'oreal Sandalwood Pink Blush, it's a great shade if your pale like me and it just suits my skintone really well.

Bronzer

NYC Sunny Bronzer, it's a matte bronzer thats the right shade for me it's not too dark or muddy and I can use it contour with aswell and it's really pigmented.
Highlighter
If you've read my blog or watched my YouTube you will know it's the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter, it's been a favourite of mine since I got it and use it most days, it's a pinky shimmery highlighter.
Makeup Brush-Single
This was defintely a hard one for me but I decide on the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, you can use it for foundation, powder and blush and it blends your makeup easily.

Eyebrow Product
This was easy for me it's what I use mostly on my eyebrows it's the Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil, I know some people don't like pencil but I do, it's easy to use and my brows look nice.

Eyeshadow-Single
I found this one a hard one aswell, I wear eyeshadow a lot but it's mostly neutral shades and I decided on MAC's Satin Taupe it's a taupey brown shade that look's great on any eye colour, it's long lasting and really pigmented.

Eyeliner
I've talked about it before it's the Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner, it's quite black, its easy to use and it's long lasting.
Mascara
It would have to be the Benefit Bad Gal Lash, I do have the They're Real Mascara but I haven't tried it out yet, the Bad Gal Lash lengthens and volumizers my lashes without clumping.
Lipstick, Lip Gloss or Lip Stain
This was also another hard one for me, I have lots of lip products and I like wearing different shades but I decided on the Natural Collection Rose Bud, it's a pinky gold shade that is natural looking and that can go with most looks, it's really pigmented, it's not the most long lasting but it is only £1.99.
Lip Liner
I don't wear lip liner very often but the one I use the most is Rimmel London's Spice lip liner it's a natural shade, that's long lasting and pigmented.
Lip Balm
I chose the Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose, this is a berry shade and I love wearing this when I don't want to wear a lipstick, it's really pigmented, it makes your lips feel soft and is quite long lasting.
Nail Polish
I decided on the No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish in Rose Truffle, it's a nice shade that you could wear in both winter and summer, it's easy to apply and lasts quite a long time without chipping.

I hope you enjoyed the tag and I tag you all to do it, if you do the tag leave your link down below, would love to see your answers.

I hope you enjoyed the look, I haven't done a makeup look in ages and really enjoyed doing them again and if you do a look with palette let me know so I can take a look.
